I had someone write me and tell me what was in my HH. It was cool to hear what people wrote. I put some poetry In a logbook for a Poe series.

We had someone tell us that he proposed and she accepted at the place of our logbook and after they stamped in.

We have also had people note that they were celebrating birthdays, Mother's Day, anniversaries, etc. We love that.

We also had a message, "Sticky, sweaty, buggy...AWESOME". I think they stamped in during black fly season.

On the average day, we appreciate a state or city and state, date and if it is a busy box, time. It is always interesting to see how far apart in the day people stamp in. When we place a logbook, if we date and time the placement, people many times follow suit and time their stamping in as well.

My boyfriend and i go to school together, and when we went to go put a new log book in one of his boxes (Liutenant Lisa) we notice someone had written something along the lines of "Loved your box, we are just visiting, our son plays at St Leo University (our school) soccer team and we are here to watch their national championship game" and it was just soo funny because very few people have heard of our school AND we were at that game!!!! There was a fellow letter boxer and we didn't even know it....well he didn't, i didn't even know what letterboxing was at the time. That was def the coolest!

I just like to hear SOMETHING-nothing peeves me more than absolutely nothing-you know? As in-I couldn't take the time to just say-this box stinks, is great, is awesome, got stung, etc.

LOL my husband always had me stamp in for him. When I caught on I asked why and he said he did not know what to write.
