Wondering if We R Missing something ,or if there isn't a Box of the Month for Michigan ( August)?

There is a box of the month in Caro, Michigan and shooz is the letterboxer who is participating in that. The way it works is that at the end of every month the box gets mailed from one location to another. In that way, there are 12 different boxes to get throughout the year at the same location.

But there are always a few days where the box is not available. That's when the planter (shooz, in this case) pulls the current box to mail to the next location. Then when she receives the new box, she'll list it and post it. So there often are a few days at the end of a month and beginning of the next where it's unavailable.

Thanks so much for assisting my Knowledge,but where dies the lust start?...How is it determined who is who dies or doesn't get the box?.... I noticed this system on another post....and I have been Watching / Searching every chance Online ..... I'm just trying to Get more involved in the game ....

As Angel Winks said right now we are between boxes, I am waiting for
the August box to arrive before it can be posted. The Box of the Month is a postal tracker I signed up
for at the beginning of the year - essentially it is a postal tracker that lasts for a year, each month I receive a postal letterbox from a different person in the tracker I then
plant it for approximately a month to share with other boxers, after that it is mailed on to the next person in the tracker.
(Shameless Plug :) So come on to Caro and find a wonderful carve from
a boxer from around the country! (plus there are other boxes around Caro needing to be found also! :)

Many years ago(2006), we had a project on the GL Yahoo board to get at least 1 box planted in every county in Michigan. TrailTroll and I planted the 1st/2nd letterboxes in Tuscola County on the same day... literally 5 feet from each other! I went back and moved mine elsewhere. It has long since gone missing. TT's was missing/retired around the same time frame. I'm happy to hear that more letterboxes have been planted in that area! I should get up there sometime to find them!

These were some of our first and most favorite finds, wish they were still around they represented the area and history well!!

The boxes in and around Caro are lovely carves. We still have the crappy letterboxes around the thumb to find.
