Ok everyone, I need a new printer and I want to get one that I will be able to transfer with the wintergreen method. If you use this transfer method what laser printer are you using/recommend.

Canon D420. Got it at Office Max about 5 years ago, on sale, for under $100. It's b&w, 3-in-1 copier, scanner, and printer. The toner works like a charm with WEO and is all I ever use for transfers. Unfortunately, the current price of these printers seems to be quite a bit higher today, but if you can find a cheaper Canon model that uses the same toner, I'd go for it.

One suggestion I'd make is, if you're shopping in person (instead of online), take in some printed images, and make a "test copy" on different toner printers, then test those prints at home with WEO to make sure they work.

Unless you always carve on the same material, you may want to test your transfers on more than one material. When I replaced my HP laser I could not get transfers to work on the pink stuff of NZCut. Then I switched to Karve Majik and the transfers from the printer work fine.

A few years ago I bought a Brother HL-5450DN. I use acetone transfer but images would not transfer with this printer. When the toner ran out I bought some cheap toner. Images will now transfer. Toner often makes the difference.
