I'd just like to say that the boxer who slipped the cootie into my letterboxing bag that got me strip searched at Boston Logan Airport? Is on my list!

I also got lectured that an "experienced" flyer like me should know better than to take things in a carry-on which TSA can't identify.....I was told in no uncertain terms that Boston takes security seriously not like in California.....he was so outraged it was all I could do not to crack up.....don't get me wrong, I understand that the East Coast is serious about security......but really??? A cootie?????

What kind of container was the cootie in?? And you didn't really get strip-searched, did you??

(It wasn't me who gave you the cootie, honest!!)

Not completely naked, no.....(now there's an image that will haunt you all).

The cootie was in a metal cylinder, cammo'd but I'm guess a cigar container??? And I'm pretty sure the semi-strip was due to the exceedingly dangerous fitbit they found on the pat down......

It just occurred to me that Austin-Bergstrom Airport might have a rash of strip searches in October...

Thanks, everyone for the kind words! Glad you all had a good time. The library staff was impressed by how busy everyone was and the Children's Room staff was impressed by how many grown-ups they had down there!

Thanks to all who brought delicious treats to share. They were much appreciated. Thanks to those who brought event boxes to round out the event.

The winner of the Guess How Many is Travelin' Turtle. Her guess was exactly right at 73. IOU a bag of ginger snaps.

If anyone is missing a beautiful leather logbook, I have it.

They don't pay attention to labels when they can't identify it. And don't try to label something "Not a bomb". They really don't like that. (Not from personal experience, but I've heard things.)

If anything, the fact that it was labeled "cootie" made him more angry.....so I can only imagine what "not a bomb" would have done
