Did you know that a Boxer's Fracture is a real thing? It is. There are two ways to get it. The most common way is to punch a wall or hit someone. The other way is to fall on your hand while you are boxing, which I discovered recently. I feel like I hit the jackpot. Or maybe it was just the dirt at my feet.

Yet another boxing hazard

A boxer's fracture can occur
When fist collides with chin
Resulting in a cracking of
A distal metacarpal.
Bareknuckled hazard with no glove,
Or punching 'gainst your bedroom wall.
But we might add another to
Our orthopedic lists,
That all of us may come to rue,
By injuring our inky fists
When tripping o'er a geocache
Or snagging, twisted root,
And falling with an awful crash
While on our box pursuit.

My son got a boxer fracture when he punched one of his friends on the top of his head. First time i had ever heard of this.
Sorry you got hurt and I hope you heal fast.
