Can this be true? Zero letterboxes on the New Hampshire portion of the M-M Trail? That's the northern end of the New England Trail (NET), which starts on Long Island Sound. It's about 18 miles long from the Mass border to the summit of Monadnock. Zero boxes? I would carve something to rectify this situation when I hike it in the fall, but I broke my carving hand, argh.

We're having our Soup's On event in Western MA in November, after that I'll have several series of stamps that will need re-planting. I'd be happy to send one your way for planting up there if you like. The theme this year is numbers.

I hope to be done by October, but thanks for the offer. I had it on my to-do list over the winter -- carve stamps for the NH portion of the trail, but never got around to it.

Boxing/Hiking, of course. Took a minor fall and just landed wrong on my hand. The funny part is that this was 0.1 mile from the official end of the NET Trail. I managed to go up and down cliffs from Long Island Sound to 0.1 mile from the New Hampshire border, then step on a little root and fall on my butt on the easy part at the end.

Also, this type of hand fracture is known as a Boxer's Fracture. BWAHAHAHAHA! Do I get an award?

Finally, I broke it shortly after abandoning my search for a box at Royalston Falls because the last part to the box was way too hazardous and I was afraid I would fall down a cliff.

sounds like a theme for a letterbox!
