Is there an easy way to find boxes that are close to where you are while traveling? I know I can type in the highways, but sometimes that really doesn't help us. Example, right now we are in a hotel in Jacksonville and I am trying to search boxes that are close to where we are and that are still active. But not being familiar with Jacksonville, I have spent over 30 minutes trying to find boxes, but no luck. Thank you for your input and help. Won't be able to answer back until the morning, so don't think I am ignoring you. Box on!

Try the Box Radar app. It's pretty good.

Or try Clue Tracker on iOS. :-)

You can also go to Simple Search in AtlasQuest, and in the Location-Based Search tab click "Here." (The "Home" and "Here" links are right above the location search box.)

Why doesn't a normal Jacksonville search work? By default, it hides the retired and unavailable boxes, and sorts them based on those closest to your location. You could even run the search from the address of your hotel to make it more specific.

Of course, there are likely boxes listed as active that have since gone missing. You can use an advanced search to include only boxes that have been found recently, or boxes that don't have a certain number of attempts on them and such to improve the odds of a box being there, but when it comes to finding boxes, there are no guarantees.

I miss clue tracker. I wish it would come over to android. I do not have luck with box radar. It's not as good. Clue tracker is the best one out there. In my opinion.
