Question for repeat event
Board: Event News and Planning

So I am "redoing" an event I did 3 years ago.
I retired the boxes.

Soooo, do I relist with 2017 added to title (so new AQ number) or do I just bring all stamps out of retirement?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks,
Inkwell

is the event in the same area so that the original participants would go again?
If it were me, I would not want to log the same box twice. I'd rather get credit for a new find, as I'm sure there will be new clues.

The event would be a new event, but are you saying you are not planning on doing any new stamps? Not sure how many of the attendees will want to return.

Are you rehiding the stamps from the original event in new places? These would be listed as new boxes and finds; you may still encounter people who don't want to get the same images. *sigh*

If you want to hold a truly new event (new stamps) then bringing the old stamps out as table top(s) or event box(es) is often done and appreciated by those attending for the first time.

I'm not sure how others feel, but I and many of my boxer friends have viewed relisting previously hidden stamps as "cheating", as far as P and F counts go.

Ok, I will clarify. This is the same exact event, same stamps, same locations, same clues......totally different people coming to this one. There were a large number of people who could not come three years ago. And we all put soooo much time into the event, puzzle boxes and the like, that it would be sad for these boxes to go into storage and not be seen again.

With this clarification, I would say new event, unretired old listings.

Then, unretire them. It's easy for you. That way, it's clear and fair to those who already found them.

Thanks for all the input, that's the way I was hoping it could be.
