For providers, my husband says Verizon is one of the best.

For browsers, he says says Firefox Safari is common at his work, amongst his coworkers, and that is my preferred one, too.

Antivirus- Norton is good, but slows your computer. His work uses Trend Microsystems, and his work has to be very secure because it has a lot of private files to protect. AVR is supposed to be good, too.

We have Chrome, Firefox and Explorer on our computers, and Norton antivirus. Explorer is having the most problems for me, it kicks me out or has errors a lot. I don't use it much. I think I use Firefox the most. Sometimes you have to use a compatible server to fill out certain forms online, etc. When I filled out my art exhibition form, Chrome was the only one that worked. Firefox is the one that works best for my son's online math class.

Turn out, I know nothing when it comes to the Internet. I've been using aol as my sign on or (homepage?). The guy from the computer store said to stop doing that. Go straight to firefox. I need a new email address so I'm trying to figure out the safest way to go with that. I may still have a key logger thing going on which would explain the problems with my pass words and security questions.

Any advice would be helpful. Norton checks out for virus protection so we will stay with that till it expires.

Aol, will be going away! Just need a safe email provider. Any advice?

If you set up a gmail or yahoo email account, it won't change when your internet provider changes. Your provider will assign you an email account too.....but you don't have to use it ;)

*giggle* No, it's not going away, it's just going away for me. I believe alot of the problems may be coming from them so I'm searching for a safer provider for us.

Excuse my incorrect writing, I've been really sick.

That's a great idea! I've heard people talk about hobby accounts vs professional accounts. Thank you. I'm waiting for my aol to expire and then I will have to move on. Old habbits die hard.
