Those going... anyone planning on bringing a dog.

True to "Ewing" family, we have been "trying" to get a rescue dog for 2 months now, and it looks like it "might" be final around the time of the meeting. I just don't think it is fair to her or us to get her and then leave her all day in the house (not to mention..what she could do in here) :o)

Anyways I don't think we will get much boxing done if we bring her, but it would still be nice to meet everyone, etc.

I see that dogs are "allowed", just don't to double check that it is OK with the hosts, etc.

Again, this process has taken 2 months, so there still is a good chance she will not be with us yet. UGH

Yeah, the lazy ones who slept most of the day (why don't they ever do that at home?)

I'll have one of my greyhounds there at least part of the time (I live locally), and HoundSong will have at least one of her whippets. Both of us are looking forward to having our dogs with us at the bonfire. :-)

And, if it's the whippet from the Augusta gathering, that was one REALLY well mannered dog! Just a true sweetheart. :-)

Just to let you all know that I made our reservations for Friday night, Saturday night and then to leave on Sunday at some point. We have the pull-thru space of #63, which is supposed to be right next to the spot you all will be using, correct? I am really looking forward to it, but I'm sure my husband might find other things to do part of the day. What will the space of #64 be used for? Is it just for parking for the group? Just curious. Not sure what time we will be there on Friday, but will be rolling in at some point. How far away is my spot from the actual camping spot of T5 where you all will be at? Is it a long walk?? (smile) Anyway, can't wait to meet all of you!

BTW, for those of you like myself with an RV or travel trailer, the spot I have with electric and water is only $18.00 plus tax a night, which is very good! Hope more of you will decide to come out and camp with all of us.

Good for you Buddies!

Site 64 will be used for our family parking because it's the closest to T5 where the bonfire will be (no parking down the hill) You'll be in the next closest spot to the bonfire, straight down the hill from your site and just a short walk away.

But......perhaps you'd rather have a lakefront spot? Just around the curve of the road, all the sites are on the lake with MUCH prettier views and lake-edge campsites. All still a very short walk to the bathrooms, building where we'll be on Sat, the trail, and the T5 bonfire site. You are absolutely welcome to stay there close to us but I hate to have you passing on the incredible sunrise if you'd prefer that. Site 63 just faces woods. :-( It's all still a small campground and within sight of where we'll be, no matter where you pick.

So very glad you're coming! We're going to have a great time. :-)

Think we will just keep this spot because it is a pull-thru and with the 5th wheel, it will make it a lot easier. I figured if he wants to go fishing, he can walk to a spot. (smile) We don't have to worry about the bathrooms, because we will have the electic and water hookups. I couldn't believe the prices included the hookups as well. It's a great price. We might have to make more trips down there on weekends. Too bad we can't pull the 5th wheel and the boat at the same time or we could have a blast. (laughing) Again, can't wait to meet you and your mother and sister. I already met your husband at your shop when we were boxing one day. Anyway, see you all real soon.

I caught my first mess of crappie today. If the weather holds up like this some of you folks will enjoy some fine fishing at the gathering.

I just saw that the weather on Friday is going to be 72 and for Saturday it is going to be 74. They didn't have Sunday on there, but seems to be looking good for fishing I'd say, and nice for boxing too. (smile)

Uh-oh, we may be in trouble! How about leashed and closely monitored?

The HH puppies are a little bigger and a lot more active than they were in Augusta, but they love kids and other dogs (and people in general), and they are really good on the trails. We just had an 8 mile boxing day yesterday, plus a 2 mile walk around the neighborhood before we left home, and they kept tuggin on their leashes trying to get me to go faster the whole day. Thank goodness for JDog and Johnny Quest who were willing to run with them.

I don't know about the others, but I'm sure there will be enough kids to run with the pups while we're there. (smile) I know my son would love to do it!!
