Thanks, everybody, for the lovely support sent my way about my boxes. Rest assured that I am committed to this hobby and will always plant boxes. The reason I posted the message to all was because, based on the name on the stamp, I couldn't find the party through Atlas Quest or LbNA and I was hoping I could reach them through the message boards.
Anywho, January and February are long months in upstate New York for letterboxing. In response to Mother Nature I am working on THREE boxes that will be accessible year-round, and especially in winter!
Keep your eye on "What's New!" and Happy New Year.

It's a good thing we spell our names differently, and live in different parts of the country.
I seen a post from "Mookie" on the My Page, and was wondering what I wrote.
How did you get the name Mookie?
blue skies,
Mooky (of MookyDipper)

When I was in high school (over 20 years ago!), my best friend and I made up the word Mookie, roughly meaning a craving for something that you couldn't quite identify, or maybe didn't even exist. ("I could really go for a chocolate mookie.") It was a word that has always stuck. Since I've never really understood why I like letterboxing so much, especailly when everyone I know doesn't get it either, it seemed like a great trail name. I simply crave letterboxing even though I never know what I'll get!
How did you come up with Mooky?

I had a friend in college we used to call stickboy, since he was so skinny. He would call me Mookoobah, because I have big ears. I really have no idea what a Mookoobah is, or why it would have big ears, but none the less, Mookoobah I was. The name evolved to Mooky over the years
