Those tabs look great-I've never seen those! I love my platform, but haven't tried the Tan-z on it yet either. I've used it with SLQ, Japanese carving stuff, and OZ....I use "sticky tack", painter's tape, or rubber cement-they all work for me. I hope everyone is liking their platforms so far!

Not all pouches are created equal.
Not all pouch hiding places are equal.
Not all boxers re-sealings methods are equal.

Much of that seems to have a bearing on how well the pouch works.

I much prefer a pouch over flimsy Glad-ware.

A lot of the pouches I have found have had bugs, water and wet log books in them. I even found one that had been planted the day before I found it and even it had lots of bugs in it! That was quite a surprise. It just is hit and miss as to dry ones vs bug filled ones.
LbNA - Ignore a box

Searching LbNA and finding that boxes are retired on AQ:
Is there a way to Ignore, Block or otherwise tag the listing on LbNA?
I'm not talking about the listing that are already faded.
It's the listings that appear to be active, but when checking AQ they're listed as Retired, Unavailable or mulitple Attempts by reliable boxers.

It seems some folks forget to change the status on LbNA.

This is a big pet peeve of mine. I will usually email the box owner whenever I find AQ and LbNA out of sync as far as archived/active/retired. Some have simply forgotten that they need to make changes in both places. Many just ignore me.

Someone suggested a wolf spider once. And since this is AZ not likely the one pictured. And yes it is real. Just ask Kurious Jo and Wood Aug.

Fortunately the inside of the letterbox was free of spiders.

In Maine, I have seen them wet inside but don't recall any with bugs inside. The tops is frequently folded over and there are usually some in the fold but not in the bag.

I have two events-in-a-box:
Color Box (about 50 stamps) has visited NY, VA, IN, CO, CA, and MA
Reindeer Roundup (about 20 stamps) has visited MO, VA, MA, IN, CO, and PA

Are there any experienced hosts that are interested in borrowing these events to host in your area? Glad to answer questions via AQmail with more information & details --

Thanks for the restickable tabs tip! I love my stamping platform. BTW, if any of you are considering the Tim Holtz platform, you might want to purchase it soon because they will only be available until the current supply runs out

Same here except I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone respond to my emails, much less take action.

I hope everyone is liking their platforms so far!

I certainly am!

I have always wanted to try a two stamp LTC card but couldn’t figure out how to get the registration perfect. But I was finally able to achieve it with the platform.

I printed out two of the same image and transferred them both. On one block I carved the main image (cutting away everything else) and on the second block I carved the background stuff. After I had the first block mounted to the platform with the sticky tabs, I put blue painters tape around it. After printing the first image I removed the carving and replaced it with the second one using the tape as a guide for registration.

It worked perfectly!

As others have said some pouches are found in better shape than others. I think it depends on the type of bag and tape that is used.....some planters are more meticulous than others in making their pouches as well!

Actually, after some searching it appears it might be (more specifically) a Olios giganteus (Giant Crab Spider):

https://spiderid.com/spider/sparassidae/olios/giganteus/

If I’m understanding this website, it looks like sighting one is a rare event:

There have been 37 confirmed sightings of Olios giganteus (Giant Crab Spider), with the most recent sighting submitted on June 18, 2018 by Spider ID member jennylee.

Choi has been very responsive when I've told him about a few items that are changed.
Maybe there could be something along the lines of a dead letter office.
The owner is missing, AQ has it listed as Retired but LbNA doesn't. Move it to the DLO.
Not the same as Archived.
