I had to read what this was all about. My granddaughter is a college student majoring in OT AND art therapy! It is not what I thought it was about.

I might look through my scrapbooks and photo albums only once a year, but I am going to keep them, for the memories, and to remind me of things that happened in my life. They keep my memories fresh.

If they make you smile and remember and appreciate the others' efforts, then you should be able to keep them. The justice you give them is your appreciation of them. Even if you enjoy them only once a year, then you should be able to keep them. If you had fun collecting them, and it makes you feel good to look at them, keep them.

After saying all of that, my opinion is that you should keep them.

BetsyLee

Very well said, BetsyLee - thank you! I do still enjoy looking at them, so I guess I'm not ready to part with them.

If you are interested in the tracker for new people, I am no longer the box holder. It has been passed on to Linden Leaf. This means that new people interested in LTCs should contact her. If you would like to donate cards or postage to the tracker, send them to her! The card stash should arrive in MN in 7-10 days.

Thanks!

I like making cards, but don't really have time to join/host trackers all of the time...so I was wondering if I can make a tracker for people to sign up to just have me send a card to them whenever I do get sets made? Or is that not allowed?
Thanks,

A better way might be to post a message on the board when you have some to give away/swap. People will contact you lickety split. Or even just ask for names of people who would be interested in future cards and make a list for yourself.

There are tons of ways to share your cards. You can send some for new people by sending them to Linden Leaf. You can share them by leaving them as first finders prizes in letterboxes you plant. You can make random trades and ask people to trade individuals. You can also join Marjorie's potpourri and send you will get random trades back. That one takes place monthly.

You could set up a tracker that way, and just tell the participants that when you have a card to trade you will send out a tracker post so anyone who wants to trade what they have can. I've seen plenty of ongoing trackers, and as the tracker owner you can set the "rules" or change it up how you wish. Just be very explicit in your tracker description, but LROSEM had some great ideas. There's always people willing to trade if you just put a post on the trades and trackers board that you got something to trade. All sorts of options, we're pretty easy going here!

You can make your cards and then send the off in Marjorie's Potpourri. It runs every month, no set theme, and you only send 5 cards. Very easy way to move along cards (ie, leftovers, duplicates, or new creations).

When creating a tracker there are choices: Singleton, Swap, Other
Sounds like you are describing a "singleton" rather than a "swap."

"A singleton is a single LTC card that the tracker owner has available for distribution. Only the tracker's owner can add cards to the tracker."

There is also another option:
"No subtype is the wild, wild west of LTC trackers. It's not a singleton nor a swap, which are the most common organizations, but what it is is anyone's guess. There may be strange and unusual rules involved, so read the description of the tracker closely to see if it's someone you want to get involved with. Anyone can add their own boxes to such a tracker."

Might consider the postage cost too of sending your cards and whether you will expect receivers to send a SASE.

How many cards are usually in your sets?
