I think the chicken debeaking thing is an embellishment to illustrate the character of the trail name in question, and I understood that it is Buzzkill's employment. Also, everyone makes their own gruel around here, often using old family recipes and cast iron pots, crick water, and hand ground grains. It's a cultural thing.

I want to see everything that is considered a "scenic route", because my themed series involves scenic routes and the more I know about, the more opportunities I have to plant.

Wouldn't it just be quicker to throw them in the trash yourself? :P

Good morning, you sweet and wonderful lady. I actually just posted about you on Facebook...and now here you are on AQ. I have requested to have the boxes by May 17th so that the guys and I have a few weekends to make trips to plant. Does that work for your scheduling? I am looking forward to your boxes and may need you to help me with writing some clues surrounding them. Hehe...shhhh.

Board: Postcrossing, not Cross-posting!

So I decided to try Postcrossing out. For those of you who've done it, do you make your own postcards? I would like to print out some 4x6 images on card stock, similar in weight to a regular post card. Would that work? Or are home made ones frowned upon, and purchased one preferred?

That all depends on the person receiving it. Personally, I prefer purchased cards, but there are people out there that love homemade cards. So I'd say definitely have some "regular" postcards on hand, but if you are sending to someone who likes homemade cards, go for it.

Does anyone have a start/stop list of the boxes and what trails they are located on at Paris Mt.?

Not sure what a "start/stop" list is but I have never seen any sort of list for the park. You just have to read all the clues (and those for Greenville since some are listed there) and make your own order and plan.

That's what I figured. Just not sure where to acquire political, law enforcement, or propaganda themed postcards, since that's what the person I got likes (amoung other things) but I have access to some pretty amazing photo archives.
Guess I have a project this evening after work, off to the store! :)

Not relevant to your topic at all, but I have a daughter named Noelle! It's not very common and it's nice to hear the masculine version as well!

Like Downton Abbey or movies about being who you are?

I watched 2 good movies today. The first was "From Time to Time" starring Maggie Smith. It was a combination of Downton Abbey, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew, and Ghost Hunters! I really liked it.
The second was a movie called "Penelope". A fun movie dealing with personal image. Give them a try!
I like to watch movies I have never seen before as a back drop to carving stamps. It gives me something to listen to, and rests my eyes by taking them away from the stamp once in awhile.
