We got our 100th box today! Just in time before the year ended. We wanted to get 100 by the end of the year (we started boxing in June). Next year we're going for 200 lol! Don't think we'll make it but you never know.

Brought 5 to plant between here and New Zealand. Spent a lot of time digging around so far. But then again the gardens are beautiful. Absolutely beautiful place to start the new year.

Go to a couple of events. You'll make it! Events are usually chock-full of great boxes & friendly people.

If you switch to "standard view" on something with a 4-inch screen, do you see the whole My Page really tiny? Or do you see a small portion of it and have to pan around on it?

You'll see the whole page really tiny and you have to zoom in to the area where you can really read anything. Then you might have to pan around to see the stuff that now scrolls off the page.

It's not pretty.... =)

Quirky street art

That sounds really neat!

And those parks sound good, too.

Ryan, I may take you up on that pizza or spaghetti... (do they have wine?) I will get back to you on that...

Your suggestions are all great, and Starbucks, check! and I am bookmarking these. I think I will take the Underground tour for sure.

Glad I bought some cold weather gear from my DC trip last year!

I saw some interesting, and some weird things, while out letterboxing this year.

1. Black bears in the Smokies, while hiking with with Big Red
2. Dozens of different colored butterflies flitting around in the Smokies.
3.GOATS on the ROOF!!!!! (Pigeon Forge, TN... someone totally needs to plant a box there)
4. A man riding a unicycle, while playing guitar and accented by his lime green Converse high tops. (With Butterfly Keeper)
5.a blind Great Horned Owl, being exercised at a nature center, where I have some boxes
5. HUGE old alligators in the river we were planting along (with NotMyCircus)
6. Coyote watching us, circling us in a cemetery in Orlando... today! (With NotMyCircus and CatsRagTop)
7. Also a few old WOOD grave markers. Neat!

Many beautiful and unique and interesting places.....
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I believe both of them do, actually. =)

Let me know when you're bumming around downtown. I might go down there and play the tour guide for you. =) I'm told that I make a great tour guide! But.... I might make you walk a lot. Wear good walking shoes. =)

We do have wild hogs out there, apparently.

I was going to suggest an elephant, but a hog makes sense too. Or a bear. Or a monkey. An alligator could totally do it. I agree. Maybe he thinks it's a tootsie pop & curiosity keeps getting the better of him. It's a mystery! :-D

Hmm. Maybe the hogs? A restless and/or angry spirit.

But that is crazy. Hogs are such a pain. Not sure if you're a hunter, but you could have some wild bacon!
Thinking Ahead...to Christmas in August!!

As you are taking down all those Christmas decorations and putting them away in storage, remember that our big Thomas Point Beach event this year has a theme of Christmas in August!

If you have battery powered lights, little trees, tinsel or whatever you might use to make this event more festive pack it in an easy to reach place and you'll be all set to grab it and decorate your campsite!
Lots of good sales right now if you want to pick up something extra to decorate with too!!

Does someone have a Santa suit? Maybe Santa will make an appearance? And a group Christmas tree that we could all add an ornament/stamp might be nice too. Any plans? Clue us in and we'll know what to keep where we can more easily get it.

The box is part of the "2007 San Diego LB Gathering series", the box is called "Cheshire Cat".

Ah, memories! Nice to know that SOMETHING from that event is still out there.

If the logbook really has nothing in it to see, it probably isn't worth saving. The original log probably filled up pretty quickly: that event to this day is still the biggest I've ever attended. As long as the container is still undamaged, the stamp is there, and a new logbook is properly bagged, I think you can be satisfied with a job well done.

My stamp was in that logbook! Good to know he survived all this time.
Not sure that's necessary since there isn't anything in the old logbook. ?

Sadly, no. Nice that you dried it out and saved it for her anyway.

Happy New Year!

Glad you reminded me. I had forgotten about the unicycle rider we saw in St. Louis while boxing. We also saw guy test driving his electronic car up the side of a giant rock hill in St. Louis.

Well, since some of us are working with 17" screens while others are working with 4" screens, I guess you gotta decide what you're gonna do.
