Oops.... that was "work" and "tasty".

I had gotten so much better at typing on the tablet, but once in a while it still gets the better of me.

We had a great time today! Blew away our previous record of 86 with over 160 today! Missed night boxing because a storm blew in a little while ago and we headed home.

Had a rough patch. Rottieloves granddaughter tripped and broke both bones in her arm! She's going to have to have surgery! She was having so much fun til then
Otherwise a great day!

Update.... no surgery needed, but the cast goes all the way up her arm. She is going to come by tomorrow so we can all stamp her cast.

I was going to suggest looking up your local wildlife refuge center.
Our local shelter only deals with 'domestic' animals (including pocket pets but not opossums!) But, the wildlife center or zoo can tell you where they will be safest.

Oh that's awesome! A broken arm is bad enough without all the extra junk from surgery!

Beagles can also be very loud! They are forever young, and can run like the wind! They are escape artists, for sure! And they are extremely loyal and loving. Good with other dogs, and kids, too. And yes, YOU hold the leash! Consider a harness to hook it to, though, because he will be constantly choking himself if hooked to his collar and he goes after something! That can cause pinched nerves in the neck, and neck and sholder problems. Don't learn that the hard way like we did! They are very sweet dogs.

Hi,

I"m looking for a map of Oakley Corners State forest. I haven't been able to find one online and so often I find kiosks empty of maps so I'd like to print one and bring it.

Anyone have a link to where I can find a map of the trails?

thanks,

I saw him open for Kiss, too, who in turn, I guess, opened for Aerosmith (my drawing card). Saliva kicked everything off before Ted in Comerica Park (Detroit). I did not hear him talk too much during that show, but I was far from the stage. He did not play too many songs; basically his hits.

The first time I heard of him was when I was about six in the mid/late eighties. My parents and I were at the Genesee County Fair (I think) near Flint, MI. I think there was some Fishing/Hunting expo that my dad wanted to check out for tackle stuff. There is a possibility we were elsewhere, too. Anyway, we were walking past this guy on a stage talking to some crowd. He had really loud voice and a presence. I asked something like, "Mommy, mommy, who is that?" She replied, "That's Ted Nugent. He's a musician."

Beagles are sweet, but be prepared for howling that is usually uncontrollable.

My word of advice is that there should be no forced activity until they (any breed) are 2 years. You mentioned hiking, so that is why I brought it up.

I have an almost 5 month old pup currently and the info is fresh in my mind, so if you have any questions now or in the future then feel free to PM me. I may not be able to answer them all, but I will try.

STAZON INK! :-D
Board: Off Topic, Wildly

Thread Board
I LOVE MY STAZON INK!!! It's my MAIN ink for Letterboxing for several reasons. First, I love STAZON so much, I literally glued my 2x3 signature stamp to the top of the LID of my Red Pad!! My thinking? When I stamp my trail stamp into a logbook in the woods...if THAT logbook EVER gets wet --I AM STILL IN THERE! When things are stamped in waterbase inks...they fade, run together and often when wet enough...completely disappear. :'(.

IDEA FOR FELLOW STAZON OWNERS: I took those ever important plastic covers inside the cover to keep the alcohol ink from drying out as fast, and added a 3D pop dots to the underside of the main lid, to adhere the plastic cover to the lid. Why? A. To keep it from blowing away in the wind when I'm out on the trail B. To keep the plastic&lid together so there's one less thing to hold onto when I'm Stampin in and lastly C. So when I remove the lid--the plastic comes off AT THE SAME TIME! :-D

Ps: All of my 10+ STAZON inks are "stuck" together into groups of 4 by putting 3D ZOTS onto the 4 corners of the underside of the lids. They all nestle laying down in my fanny pack for easy retrieval when out on the trail. I do have marvy markers if the carve is a positive image and not a negative one I can color in later. ;). BUT I don't use waterbase markers for anything OUT IN THE WILDERNESS, that would be damaged by soaking.

NOW I EVEN HAVE REINKERS FOR ALL MY STAZON! Woo hoo! Don't throw away those pads! :-D. There's a location in Ohio that has EVERY reinkers color STAZON makes!! Side note: Hobby Lobby has the MOST color variety of STAZON inks, at least in my area. I buy ONE pad at a time with a coupon, of course. ;)
