Bubba! I'm sorry I missed seeing him. I was thinking about him just yesterday and wondering how he was.

We hope the "Crappie" Event off well. Very sorry we were not in attendance but were stuck in MI
fighting a horrible case of the flu. Went into bed Sun (last) & got out Fri in no shape to drive, either one of us. We are attempting to hit the road tomorrow AM. Might take longer to get home but we need our own bed.

One of my favorite little tidbits I learned years about, which I really should add to the About Theme page just because I think it's interesting, is about those stripes

I learned about that back in Driver's Ed. LOL.

The wedding was at the Florida Botanical Gardens (Heritage Village) and it rained right up until 30 minutes before the ceremony was to begin and then the clouds parted and the sun came out and we had a beautiful wedding! I am a very proud Mother of the Bride. And yes, sometime this week there will be a clue to a hunt. Thanks for letting me boast and gush!

You know, I probably wouldn't mind touching an eel, but I'd definitely draw the line at eating one. No raw slimy stuff for this girl.....

So because I was curious I looked this up: "Predatory species [of leeches] may have teeth, or may have only crushing jaws".

Just so you know. I am never going swimming where the "crushing jaws" species lives.

and the boinging and bouncing wasn't NEARLY as bad as threatened. Wolfie can get SOOOOO melodramatic, can't she???

it's the lack of vegetables in her diet, what with all that bacon . . .

If you are traveling through GA with a dog, Stone Mountain Park allows them but only about 1/4 of the clues have the dog icon. Callaway Gardens also allows dogs and half of the clues have the dog icon.

Yes and no. At SMP not on the actual mountain or in the Songbird area. At Callaway, not near the raptor show (forget the details on that one) so sometimes the same park can have multiple answers if the planter is aware.

The only thing I don't eat is egg salad. To me, that's far worse than eating eel. I gag just when I smell it, and always have. I think I'd toast leeches over a campfire and eat them before eating egg salad. Other than that, I do have the bad bad habit of putting all sorts of things in my mouth.

That might explain the teeth.

Of course, I do prefer some things more than others, but if it was at least cooked, pickled or somehow safely prepared so I wouldn't get sick or get food poisoning, I'd try it. Even snake!

I do have to say, raw stuff does make me nervous. I haven't tried sushi yet, just for that reason. But its more the thought of getting sick from it as opposed to what it is...

Yeah, and slimy wouldn't sit well either.

Yeah, like you're worried about predatory things with teeth! YOUR predatory things with teeth scatter any wildlife to the four corners in a matter of seconds!

Glad y'all enjoyed yourselves, and so sorry we couldn't be there after all. One of the grand-daughters I was going to bring came down with the Noro-virus last night. We would NOT have been good for everyone, and I was not up to full speed yet either.

I had a question about LTC's (not to threadjack, and if I am, please let me know)...

Do you "log" LTC's? Do they count towards any stat or find?

I got a couple in the mail from some really lovely LB'ers on here, and their awesome enough to inspire me to participate in an LTC!

I've been in lots of cemeteries and can't remember ever seeing a security guard.

In Beverly Hills, I'm not surprised.

2) you're going to want to carve your second, third, fourth ... Etc etc

I'm having a really hard time (emotionally) even thinking about carving my second sig stamp. The first one (almost 4 years old) is too near and dear to my heart.

You don't have to recarve if you don't want to, and its still in good shape. I've used the same image since 2007, but in 2008 I also made a mini of the same image. I use the mini more than I do the larger. Both are still in good shape. Some like to change it up, some don't. You know what's coming, right? Some times you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. ;-)

I did make another mini in 2010 and added the city, and used script instead, but I find I like the old one better, but it stays at home.

Do it your way!

Toolbox--Trip Search.

That's for actually creating and managing trips--not to actually run a search for boxes along a route.

I always go right to Advanced, then I can't find it!

There's nothing to "find" on the Advanced page--you just type in the search you want. For example, "along I-5 from sacramento, ca to portland, or".

If you want a nifty drop down menu without any typing, the Simple Search page is the way to go. *nodding*
