How come in Zombie movies the zombies move soooo slow and yet eat so many people? Why don't we just out run them or out drive them?

Well, it's because they are really hard to stop. They just keep coming and oftentimes have overwhelming numbers. Also, the humans they are pursuing aren't necessarily particularly intelligent (zombies aren't finicky when it comes to brains).

But here is a very educational video that shows all these points from Shaun of the Dead:

My paper monster is very content these days. I have taken a 4-drawer, legal file cabinet with 100 linear inches of files down to 51" at the present. Some time ago I purchased several archive boxes for my logbooks and they are safely tucked away. I have a very special post card I want to send to Amanda. I am having trouble relocating it. I must have put it in a "very special spot." So my regular mantra, "Tony, Tony, look around; my postcard is lost and must be found" is not bearing any fruit. Where should I be looking? I know I haven't shredded it.

I saw that they have a new Kindle touch screen

They won't actually be available until November. But yes, that is one of the new options.

If you carry a purse, dump everything out of it, even if you think you've already looked through it thoroughly. There have been times when I would swear that something I'm looking for is not in my purse, but when I take everything out of it, suddenly there it is.

You mean it wasn't a compliment? What? Hmmm... I'm confused. I thought it was only an insult if "bless your heart" followed it. lol

Dear Big Broth...I mean, Great Green Magical Tortuga - one of the newer features I've come to really, really love is the way the clues to boxes show the mileage from home. Would it be possible to apply that same feature to the upcoming events? It would be really helpful in deciding trip plans, but didn't know if the same programming can be applied there as well. Just thinking out loud and would love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks Chief!

So which reality shows are scripted and how do you know.

Perhaps it's all in how you interpret the word "original".

I like very few reality shows since most of them are scripted.

So which reality shows are scripted and how do you know.

From Wikipedia:

Reality television shows have faced speculation that the participants themselves are involved in fakery, acting out storylines that have been planned in advance by producers. The Hills is one notable example; the show has long faced allegations that its plots are scripted ahead of time. During the second season of Hell's Kitchen, it was speculated that the customers eating meals prepared by the contestants were in fact paid actors.

In competition-based programs such as Big Brother and Survivor, and other special living environment shows like The Real World, the producers design the format of the show and control the day-to-day activities and the environment, creating a completely fabricated world in which the competition plays out. Producers specifically select the participants and use carefully designed scenarios, challenges, events, and settings to encourage particular behaviors and conflicts. Mark Burnett, creator of Survivor and other reality shows, has agreed with this assessment, and avoids the word "reality" to describe his shows; he has said, "I tell good stories. It really is not reality TV. It really is unscripted drama."

According to VH1's Reality TV Secrets Revealed, the shows The Restaurant and Survivor had at times recreated incidents that had actually occurred, but were not properly recorded by cameras to the required technical standard, or had not been recorded at all. In order to get the footage, the event was restaged for the cameras.

Alright I hate to be the first to ask because it makes me feel silly but what is L & B and why do I need to gas up the car and pack a picnic? And maybe on a more relevant note why do I have to know about it 700 days in advance when I can't plan what I'm doing next week?

The reality shows that I've watched (Survivor, Amazing Race & Big Brother) have enormous control to manipulate events by carefully choosing their contestants, being able to ask pointed questions, choosing the "best" challenge for a given point in the show, and of course editing. However, none of these constitute scripting.

A re-creation of a scene could be scripted, but only if they change the event to suit their desires. At one time I thought Big Bro might be scripted until I read some the Face Book posts by my daughter and her friend talking about a trip they made together to Las Vegas. The drama was amazing... NO SCRIPT REQUIRED.

7 years in letterboxing years? How many is that in Kat years??

Yosemite MJD that is funny and clever. I wish I had a clever response.

If we were talking about a marriage, there is the possibility that we could be passing through the 7 year itch stage where we could be looking for another addiction, but since we are celebrating 44 blissful years of letterboxing in KAT years we will continue to BOX ON!!!
