Sorry if this was previously posted, I am way behind on the boards. :)

It was, but awhile ago. Good to know they still have the sale! Did they have any O-wires?

I've been trying to find the dies by Tim Holtz. What a nightmare! I'm guessing they're too new at Michael's. Oh how I hate Michael's.

Was it swearing? Or was it the subject matter? (laughing) Yeah...that was funny. Embarrassing, but still funny. Thank heavens it was you that received it.

For everyone's knowledge, Teepsman and I had printed out the interviews at www.realityblurred.com for the Survivors to get an insight before selecting for fantasy league and it was one person I was just not interested in, so never read. Yes, I was recycling paper at the office to make labels, and well, the girl was disclosing personal matters. When LM asked me about it, I had NO idea what she was talking about and thought she was pulling my leg. Nope.

I've read all of them since.

I haven't seen any cutting dies but Hobby Lobby carries the embossing dies.

We might try again Monday. But probably not since it would consist of taking him out of school an additional day. Oh well.

Hi. My name is Piper. And I'm a letterbox parent.

It's been 10 days since I let my letterkind go. And though I'm compulsively checking the number of clue hits it's received and waiting to receive word that it's been found, alive and well, I've thus far resisted the urge to check on it personally (the 600 mile gap helps).

I wonder, "Are you lonely?" and "Have you been abused?" and "Do you need doctoring?" I miss my little letterbox baby.

HI Piper and welcome to the concerned parents corner... I live where two of my babies are and checked on them often before they got their first finders and am surprised when they get other finders but living in Oklahoma they are rarely found.

I may pull them when I leave and replant them somewhere else.

I have been to two different stores and they had a ton of the kits (at least 20). There were also o-wires, Zutter wire cutters and corner rounders, all at very nice prices.

Well, there aren't many 'boxers in the area you planted in but it IS a big vacation area. I suspect that you will find certain times of the year it will get higher traffic-- summer vacation is approaching...

Agreed, BUT keep in mind that it's always possible an animal or water or something moved the box, and then some hikers came down the trail, saw it, and opened it up to see what it was.

It happens sometimes. I was first finder on a box that was partly open and wet, and the planters were very experienced boxers.

*raising guilt-ridden hand*

Like I said, I'm not worried about those I see on the AQ boards regularly. :) It's the ones that have seemingly dropped off the face of the earth that I'm sad about.

I should keep better records. Then I'd be able to look at a planter's logbook and see if it's just that I wasn't listed as carver on a plant. But I'm not that organized. :)

My own boxes sit stagnant for months but I am excited to start getting more find reports again soon. May is when the boxing finds pick up around here and continue through about September. Then my boxes will sit dormant again until the next May. The only problem I foresee at this time is the fact that the default time period for a box to be considered an "old last find" on the search is 6 months I believe. If people search and hide old last finds, they will miss some of my boxes that have been sitting around since August or September with no finds.

I make mine out of scrap pieces of pink stuff. They are only for quisps. I've made about 20 different ones. I haven't made many lately, but I've run out of new ones for some people. Poor springchick and house of smith a Tuatha De Dannan... no new quisps. Just haven't had the time.

The funny thing about this picture was it was a quick shot I took sitting on a busy road at a stop light in my car, out my window and had to zoom in to not get the lights and powerlines in the picture.

You never know when an awesome photo opportunity will come along. Beautiful!
