Yeah - that Dragon's Lair is treacherous... I know someone else who got caught up in its snare and had to hobble out of the woods....

And I thought Dragons were a myth.... seems they have more pull than one would think!

But there is a small risk going after any box. Don't feel like its a personal thing. Someone could just as easily get hurt getting a driveby. Hope for their speedy recovery back to the hunt!

The same thing happened to us.........We got a find report this morning for a set we just pulled. But when I went into the finds history, they were just logging it for Oct. 2009. I checked the one logbook and they are indeed in there. Maybe it is a similar situation? Good luck finding out.

Okay... whose the wise guy? My internet connection at my house is gone! The tech-support peeps are mailing me a new modem and they saw it will not be in till mid week. I was without a way to AQ all weekend. As a result i was not able to assist in my team's efforts to post messages.

I was relieved that x-ray showed my femur doesn't appear be broken (which everyone thought), I need to follow up with orthopedic doctor, ER dr. believes I tore the major muscle.

Glad you didn't break break your leg - Sorry you got hurt!!!! ;o(

While being lifted into ambulance I was calling out to my mother "Did you put everything away?", meaning "did you put LB back in hiding spot?"
........... I called my good friend Squirrel Nutkin from ER to ask her to contact Guzzlin Gal on AQ to let her know why her brand new box was MIA!!

This part made me laugh!!! "One moment Doctor................... This call is IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!"

We hope you have a speedy recovery! ;o)

Well, we went through the foster parent certification and had the home study, etc done....the only difference is we chose NOT to foster-to-adopt (during the initial and recertification). We truly aren't looking to increase our family, but wanted to help the kiddos who are in need of safety and love. We have the option to file for adoption (if a child has been in our care for more than a year) and feel that would only be the right thing to do after a year. We are waiting for word on the bio-dad's psych eval.....a big turning point in her case. (Mom is in prison) Having had her from day 2 and she is now almost 8 months, we love the stuffings out of her, but also pray that if the agency is not going to place her with her birth family, they would decide that NOW and not drag it out. **sigh** That is the case with all the kiddos in our care though, we know bonding is important for them, but when they leave it hurts soooo bad knowing the bond we made with them will cause attachment issues. Not our first rodeo down that road, either **sniff** it is the lesser of two evils, but still is upsetting being a part of a smaller evil. We pray that she will be permanently removed to prevent the cycle of abuse IMMEDIATELY and perhaps another couple who can't have children would be able to adopt her before it gets any harder on her (and us), but the reality is, it will drag out....we know.

Dizzy,
that is really strange, i thought that was how it worked as well.
on a side note, though, you helped me figure out how to find a couple things by explaining how to get to the box ratings, so thanks!

You are a very dedicated boxer!! That qualifies you for an Injured while Boxing patch for sure!
I have an extra injured patch. Send me your address in an AQ mail and I'll send it to you.
Hugs,

When I was real young I had a tea party as a birthday party and we all played go fish around tables. As a family we all played card games and board games. Clue and Kings on the Corner were major favorites.

It's okay to be nosey in a limited way. I searched for virtual gatherings. I was thinking about doing something to celebrate national adoption day Nov 19th. We are hoping to get the baby's adoption finalized on or about that day. Thank you for asking. ;>

Big silver lining about the party is that my 2.5 year old had a great time. He kept running around in his lion costume saying “This is my party! This is my party!” And I must say that all of his guest had a big time as well… all 3 of them.

I had planned for 25 kids and only 3 showed up. I had the whole RSVP thing, sent the invites out early, and still got just 3 kids. It was a lot of work for just 3 kids… *lets out a little disappointed sigh*

But, ever the tenacious optimist fowl I am, I am already having plans for next year. I’m going to bring back the games the three kids loved, the party will be the WEEK BEFORE HALLOWEEN, and I’m going to do a RSVP confirm phone call to the parents to be sure I’ve got a better head count on participants.

Word to the wise, it’s all about fun. And we had a heck of a time, popping balloons, hayrides, ring toss (which all the adults loved, it was a tricky game and the men-folk got competitive), and hot dogs!

*singing* “I just stick out my chin, and grin and say…the sun will come out tomorrow! Tomorrow!”

I'm sorry, it may well be the 20th but that is a Saturday and the courts will be set up for adoptions the morning of the 19th this year. They even have cake and balloons. Here we have the Ivar's Clam coming with clam chowder. Wonder what they do in other areas. ;>

On Saturday while I was walking around a bike path looking for a place to hide a new letter box a guy leaned out the window of the UHaul that he was a passenger of and yelled "nice tits".

The way I see it I gotta take compliments where I can get them, so that how I took it. LOL What would you have thought?
