I did!! The new Doctor back from Iraq pulled it out when she least expected it, stitched her up and asked her for a date, all ended well, the icicle managed to miss all major organs but ...with the size of some of ours hanging high off the house, could kill a vampire! Very dangerous winter indeed....

Oh man, the one detective not knowing how to do a grid search!

Also, they would all make terrible letterboxers - not a one could 1. read a clue and 2. walk in a direction while counting steps!

AUGH sorry .... but that was the day they were going to be here and did not think to look at the other stuff. Sorry Medic !!!! DID NOT mean to step on toes at all !!!!

I am planning informal as it is Sunday ... so I whenever is fine with me, it will take them a little while to do the farm as you know, and thought about lunch - maybe would whip something up but as most of my friends growing up were Jewish - I don't hold a candle to good homemade Jewish food. I will do my best though.

What works for you and everyone else as I am about to post the event ?

There are regular Ohio patches, though. Contact Mn8x if that's really what you're looking for.

Didja see the giant floating moose just now at the closing ceremonies? And the Canadians' sweaters? (though those looked more like reindeer or elk). And the blinky moose antlers handed to everyone in the stadium? I think he's been watching too much "Pinky and the Brain."

I changed the widget defaults to *not* include death days by default.

Are you sure? Because when I added the widget just now, it included death days & I hadn't edited its preferences.

generally anyone that kicks the bucket who's on the list of birthdays, I change into a "death day." (Seems kind of rude to take them off the widget completely, don't you think?)

Maybe instead you could keep them on the birthday list, but put the years that they lived in parentheses after their name so people realize they're deceased.

some people have told me that they think the idea is sick and twisted

Glad you didn't let them talk you out of it. Why shouldn't we remember those who were originally of enough importance to be on the birthday list.

Now that I own and love a Zutter BIA, I wonder about the Zutter dreamcutter. I like that it's not electric. Has anybody tried it?

What south are you talking about. I live in the south, I call North Carolina home and in my neck of the woods we mostly call Pop a Drink.

Would you like a cold Drink? I got Pepsi and Mt. Dew. I'm going to the store to get a drink, you want me to bring you back a Diet Pepsi?

I only cried once, okay twice.

Three times would have been fine too !!! Nothing wrong with being a super proud parent and knowing how much this means !!!!! CONGRATS

We have trouble with leadership in our pack and it is hard to leave it when it's floundering

Yeah .... I understand .... Thus why I am Cub Master and a Den Leader because we were in the TANK and I had to insist the Cub Master step down. The most rewarding experience of my life ! I would not trade it for the world even though I spend countless hours working on cub stuff !

HUGS to you and your son ! Enjoy and keep us posted on all the wonderful things he accomplishes as a Boy Scout ... and what better of a time to cross then on the 100th anniversary .... a once in a lifetime experience !

Not a ONE of us would have had to carry those heavy, wooden horses! LOL!!

And wouldn't it be great to have a rope loop sticking out of the ground instead of a pile of rocks to dislodge?

I just want to thank all of you who have allowed me to be in their trackers and who have been a part of my postal ring over the last few months. I have been laid up with first a broken bone in my right foot and then tendonitis in my left foot. I have not been able to go out letterboxing since Thanksgiving. Your postals, your carves, your logbooks, and your efforts to move them through the mail to my house are so greatly appreciated. I adore the artwork and creativity that goes into designing both the trackers and the postals that fill them. I have learned so much and seen such inspirational things. Thank you.

Drats, now I wish I had watched it!

Maybe you could watch from 11:30-12:30 or so. There is supposed to be more of the closing and they just might show the audience dressed in their splendor.
