Can patches go through the wash?

Generally - yes.

Mostly they are made with nylon thread, which doesn't bleed. However, I can't say with 100% certainity that any given patch won't bleed (dislaimer to keep myself from being sued ;-))

If you read my post last month on the NC boards about my bad cat and the backpack..... I soaked the backpack (and patches) in a variety of laundry products. Then soaked and rinsed the patches by themselves (after removal from the backpack). They did fine with no bleeding or fading! But, as always, YMMV.

there is a patch for MD and Pennsylvania but they are together. It is the mid-atlantic patch. You can contact hikers n hounds for that one. Sorry I do not know about West Virginia or if it is included in the mid atlantic.

I'm looking for patches for California, Nevada and Idaho.
Searching past messages on the board, I find that Tydans had one for CA, but I can't find mention of NV or ID. Anyone know how to get hands on the CA patch or a NV or ID?

I'm fairly sure that there is no Nevada patch, and believe the same may be true for Idaho.

I got mine a couple of days ago and I Love it, I love all my patches and am trying to get ones that I have boxed in. NOW--here are a list of states that I dont have and I am not sure if there is a patch,,,:

Well, we're finally out of NY patches, folks. I was thinking of buying a new batch, but because of financial constraints, I'd have to take preorders to make sure we had enough money to buy them. Also, if we don't find/locate Perdu, I could go ahead and make some of the Missouri patches up as well (spent 13 years of my childhood in St. Louis, so I think I can pass as an official Show Me Stater!).

Anyway, let's hear some interest first. If it looks good, I'll start taking prepaid orders next week. If not, we'll just try again sometime.

some of "the" Missouri patches? Does that mean that there already is one? We have been talking about that on the Missouri board and no one mentioned that there was already one in existence. If there is not already a design, I have a design for the St. Louis area (with an arch on it) that I never made into patches that could be modified to encompass the whole state. Although an outline of the state would be nice, and mine doesn't have that. Mine looks like this:

I have two of your NY patches, but not the MO patch. I have several finds and 3 plants in Missouri. We are there 3 or 4 times a year. Would love to have 2 of the MO patches as well. My wife was born in Warrensburg and raised in Concordia. Does that qualify us?
