Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice place to stay in Charlotte the night of the 22nd?

In a hotel? Unless camping out is your thing. *okay, couldn't resist at 4 AM.

I only know where not to stay - from personal experience - although it has been a while. It is off of I-85 near the airport - maybe a Motel 6, but it could have changed alot since 10 years ago when we stayed.

GREAT! I have been wondering if a commercial haunted house/hayride could be part of FN4. Instead, this infamous place is available. I have heard some stories and talked with some people - I will NOT set foot in that house!!!

Quote House rabbits should actually have a diet based on hay (timothy or alfalfa based on age) and leafy greens, with limited pellets. Pellets were designed for weight gain in the rabbit meat industry.

This is good advice. I wrote that I fed my rabbits pellets and hay - they had free access to both. But two things my rabbits had going on that the "average" (and "above average"!) pet rabbit doesn't: they were growing fur, and they lived outside year around. So they needed the extra protein for fur production (I clipped or plucked them (it doesn't hurt!) several times a year) and the extra calories for warmth (I never lost a rabbit to weather - they lived in the Rabbit Fortress, built by my hubby, and were very cozy - and they wore angora sweaters year around ;-)).

Good luck with Tallulah - now I'm wishing I had a rabbit to pet. Guess I'll go pet one of my bad cats instead ;-))

Good times at Vinny Ts! Thanks for all the work and coordination that went into this Pranksters and Gollygee -- we had a great time. T3 was out cold as soon as the van started moving -- but T2 kept stamping most of the way home . . . JUST ONE MORE BOX! Thanks to Good Luck Bear for patience, flexibility and driving! And thanks to our out of town guests! We are so fortunate that Geometry Junkie started all of this late last fall -- we're glad you had this conference, no matter how lousy the first day was . . . it worked out great for us! (Can't wait to hear about your presentation -- will Paul Revere be in it?)

I will admit I'm looking forward with trepidation to Friday's report from you, GJ -- I didn't mean to lead you too far astray in the New England wilderness . . . just imagine you had been Paul Revere with the Redcoats all around -- it feels tame now, right?!! LOL!

(I liked Watership Down very much and wanted to reread it ) Ugh. That movies gave me the worst nightmares when I was a kid. All that blood coming across the field and that scary rabbit all tore up. I could watch Freddy and Jason, but Watership Down scared me half to death. *shivers* :) Kris

I haven't been able to talk MR SEEKER into this one !!! He's the carver, so I can't very well join in without him !!! I think you'd definately notice his part was missing !!!!
I like any kind of movie except War movies or Chick Flicks.
IF I was able to talk Charlie into this, it would have to be a car chase movie.... GONE IN 60 SECONDS or THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS.... any of those, all 3 were good.

Hello all. Just thought I would share this. I signed up for my daughter.
Sparks Across America (at the Roger Williams Zoo)

Created at the Bronx Zoo ans supported by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Sparks (Supporting Parents in Advocacy, Reform, and Knowledge in Science) program targets middle school parents and uses the rich resources of the Roger Williams Park Zoo to excite you about your children's science education. Sparks introduceffective teaching methods to parents who then serve as educational advocates in their homes and communitues. Leadership workshoops, family science fairs at the zoo and an activity book full of projects to do with children at home help to reinforce fundamental science concepts. There are two workshops to attend and the science fair.

The first workshp is March 8. There will be one more and then the science fair. They do pay you a small stipend. $25 per training and $25 for the fair. They also feed you lunch etc.

I have the contact info if you are interested. I also have a mini van if anyone would like to carpool. :) Kris

I officially ran out of winter joy six days ago. Enough skating lessons, enough snow to shovel, enough wind that literally scours the skin right off your face, enough trying to negotiate the sidewalks pocked with hard mountains and valleys of ice covered in just enough snow to make it all incredibly treacherous.

Plus I'm itching to plant a whole dozen stamps in The Big Smoke!

Jiggs, we had a mini-meet (with Landmark Leapsters and Lone R) and we're ready to host Box ON! this year. Is it tradition to have it the last weekend in September? I can book the pavilion now.

Toadfrogs -

Hello! Does the host of the Event have to book to have the Beatles tour thru our town for an Event? Or can anyone attending the Event welcome the Beatles?

I would love to see the Beatles tour Greenville, Ohio. The event is on June 7, 2008 - A Day in the Park. I have RSVP'd to attend and would love to take the Beatles with me.

It is an excellent work of art that no one should miss! I loved seeing them a few weeks ago in Beavercreek.

Some people would say that they were not. I'd say count 'em however you want 'em. Your box(es), your rules.

You guys do any snow boxing this winter? =)

Thanks to all -- we had a blast!!

This was my wife's first meet, and her immediate response was "these letterboxing people are SO nice!!!"... Our seeker can't wait for the Sudbury meet, and our keeper is even talking about missing his soccer game to make that meet (if you know our keeper, that is tantamount to blasphemy!). On my part, its great to have more faces to connect to all the stamps I've seen on the trail now.

There are one or two exchanges we sadly missed in all the craziness, but we are looking forward to catching up with you all on the rebound.

thanks again to all...

I can't speak for the host of this event, but typically it is the host that would request a traveling event box. It is their event, so their decision on what event boxes should be there.

Is this a meeting that is still happening? I see that Otis' friends has dropped their RSVP, the event page has not been updated to represent a new time or location.

What is going on? Hikers and Hounds will be up, but we need to know where we need to be. Does someone simply need to take a reins of this thing?
