Now don't try to tell me that your Yankee Canyon series was carved the day before. I think they come under the title of your"dandies". Don

The last post got me thinking about how I saw Don's nifty old cigar box that he kept his carving tools and such in. Are you still using that? It seems like the last time I saw you, you had something else. I'm still using the cigar box, but it seems a...

Did you read the original Mildred Wirt text or the revision from the 1960s? The older version is much more gripping, but I have to admit that you sort of need to be a 9-year-old girl to get the excitement of it all. I really ought to make more Nancy...

We will be getting boxes out very soon. It is pay back time. Woooo, I can't wait! That is so sweet that you found your first box on your 39th! Very special to be sure! I hope MM and I can follow your wonderful example! And, that you have as much fun...

I really hate cross-posting, but I'm going to do it with this one, to be sure anyone who might be interested gets the word. To those of you who wind up getting it two or three times, I'm sorry! Florida's Fabulous Flamingo Fiesta, a picnic gathering f...

We spent New Years Eve and day at Calloway Gardens. It was quite wonderful! We picked up Cherokee Rose's Quilting Box and Fluttering Around GA box and the Snail Trail box by Quill. We were suprisingly FF at this box. We also placed a box inside Cal...

I went to pull the Paul Frank Tribute for maintainence and the boxes were in horrible condition. The logbooks were all wet, the stamps are missing pieces (yet another reason not to use the white stuff by speedball) and one was molded. So, I decided t...

Hello out there. I am fairly new to Atlas quest. I don't know if this questions has be addressed, but I thought this "reading room" would be the best place to post and ask. For most people who read go to the Library. Does anyone out there know any...

I had a nice box. But um... I used it for a letterbox. =0) It would of been nice for my carving blades too. ~~Dawn ...The Orlando Knit Wit

OK <wicked grin> I spent my New Year's day/ morning over at Magic Kingdom. I got my first "Disney" box planted. One of many...but my first one. I don't know how long it will last, but it is a small box. Less than 2" square. And I feel that it is a goo...

Ryan Not sure if this is an old issue or one that folks may not have encountered. I originally listed my hitchhikers as mystery boxes until you made the HH option available. I have not switched those boxes to be listed as HH's because I'm lazy. I noti...

Quote I originally listed my hitchhikers as mystery boxes until you made the HH option available. Ah, yeah... I tried to discourage people from listing HH's until a hitchhiker option was available since I knew it would be problematic to convert them...

I think I posted this somewhere else, but thought I should share it again. I generally use speedball blades exclusively, and played around with a #1 blade to get really thin lines. After several tries I was able to squeeze a blade down by inserting a k...

I verified that this box is missing. On a happy note, I found Dixie Beer, which was real close to where the mystery box used to be. I also found Fort St. John. Jim D.

Has anybody used the large-gauge hypodermic needles to carve with? I bought some and tried it, but didn't like it. I was wondering if maybe I was doing something wrong. DebBee

Quote Has anybody used the large-gauge hypodermic needles to carve with? I don't know what gauge they are, but I did pick up a small supply of needles, but I haven't had much luck carving anything with them. Feels too much like an X-acto knife--which...

I'm late chiming in on this BUT here's how we solved this problem. Pupp and I do a lot of joint projects. We have 3 or 4 series out now that we each carved pieces of the series or she carved the stamps but I did the log books, etc. Those we both go out...

Your boxes were doing great. There had been some new boxers, a group of about 8 who did not have stemps, that had visited your boxes. They had taken very good care of them and rehidden them very well. Desi

large-gauge hypodermic needles to carve with? I know that ScoutDogs uses needles. She did the traveling event stamp of the LbNA map which has very tiny details. She has something about it on her web site: http://www.scoutdogsboxes.com/shopping_page...

I found the needles I had didn't seem very sharp. Not sure if it was the needles, or the carving medium, or just me. I'm just glad I'm not one of the animals who has to have these things jabbed into them. Seems like it'd be like getting an injection...

I found the needles I had didn't seem very sharp. I keep a small whet stone in my carving kit, and always sharpen blades prior and during carving. I don't use needles but that should work for them as well. Don
