At least give us a timeframe, or an actual countdown, or something!

Oh, I just remembered that I have another example of using stamping in theater:

There's a lot of painter-geek chatter that you can skip over, but the pictures really are cool! (If I do say so myself)

Thank you so much! That is a much welcome offer! I will work on getting them linked as soon as I can!

Yeah, unfortunatly, I will be missing that by 1 lousy week! Oh well, I hope there will be leftovers floating around!!!

Good night, folks!

I have noticed it lately but seems that tonight more than ever I am having a hard time with AQ. It is taking forever for pages to load. Am I the slow one?? I figured I was so I did some usual clean-up maintenance on the 'puter and still... like a m'lasses in winter. I browsed around a bit and most pages Yahoo etc seem to load up as usual.

I know you are working on something (???)...so I am trying to be patient...but I am going into WITHDRAWLS......AGHHHH!!!!!!

Quote Texans considered a writing utensil and a small pointy metal object the same thing...both are pronounced "pin",

Both are pronounced the same here too but sometimes I will still say "Fountain Pen" which I got from Mer (granny). She always said that...this is from the old type that was a "fountain" but it also helped distinguish between the writing pin and the stick pen.

A stick pin and a straight pin is the same thing and a "fasten pin" was a safety pin.

It's funny the things we remember and that end up "meaning something" or being sentimental. Mer used to always wear these little safety pins on the pocket of this old flannel shirt she used to wear over her blouse or t-shirt (seems she was always cold in her last few years). If she didn't have her pins she would make comments about missing them and the habit of them etc. When she passed away her fasten pins and favorite old shirt was what she left here with.

Ok...this thread and the grits talk has been extremely fun for alot of people and may have even brought back some fond memories that just might cause some inspiration that might even spark some creative carving which could go into a cool letterbox series or postal ring that might burn some of our mental fuel instead of having our own versions of hissy fits and jealous outbursts while waiting on the flipping COUNTDOWN to END!!!

That's it. I think we need to do a funny talk ring or a regional dish ring. It will even have something to do with AQ then...

I had a friend in Montana who participated in the annual huge Day of the Dead celebration. She and her husband carved a huge wooden plate, inked it up, put a huge length of fabric on it, and used a steamroller as a baren to make the print! Now, THAT's Large Scale Stamping! The fabric had to be 6 or so yards of 45" wide fabric.
