I too am a MYSPACE user, although I have neglected it lately due to the Letterboxing AQ time. I had met several people through MYSPACE, mostly just friends, dated a few, and then almost 2 years ago met Charlie through there. Although he lives just in the next town 8 miles away and we could have met in the grocery store or in church, we didn't ..... we met on the internet. It does sound funny to say people are so leary of it still.... but it's been great and I think the internet is a great way to meet people, no matter what you're looking for. New friends to go letterboxing with, a date for Saturday night or the love of your life.
Need geocaching help in Los Angeles and San Francisco areas

I am playing an alternate reality game, and some of the information that we need is located in geocaches around the world. Two of these caches are in California--one in Los Angeles, and one in San Francisco. Is anyone out there in those areas willing to go look for those caches for me and report back on what you find? The closest players in the game to those caches all live in Washington state.

Let me know, and I'll give you the info that you need to get to them.

Thanks so much!

That should be Los Angeles and west of Palo Alto, near West Menlo Park. Sorry, I realized that we had conflicting info, and looked at the data again.

Thank you.

What bothers me the most about some parents is the "not my child" attitude. Or making excuses for their behavior... "well, Johnny threw the chair at you today because he didn't have breakfast." WHAT!? Really? ok...

Oh, oh, oh, yes! I get that kind of thing all the time! I teach in a pretty affluent school and they just can't believe that their kid might not be perfect!

My latest fav: "He was swinging on the bathroom doors and climbing on the toilets because he's enrolled in gymnastics!"

Quote My hubby David quit too because he could not remember who was who.

When I read it in high school I remember I had to make myself a huge family tree/cheat sheet so I could remember everybody. Plus, some people would have like 3 different names they might be called, with nicknames and all...

Congratulations!

One day I hope to get through "Godel, Escher, Bach". I start it every few years and get about 2 chapters in before I lose momentum. Some day...

I've never considered using it as a dating tool. I just plain don't care for it. I like Facebook better, but I still wouldn't use it for dating. :o)

Thanks for all the great Cape suggestions! We're heading out today. We decided to try the Posse's suggestion of the Gull Wing Suites, because when your traveling with kids - suites are, well... sweet. I think a small forest was lost with all the paper we used to print clues. A PDA is starting to sound like a much "greener" solution. Just can't get my head around carrying a high tech gadget in the woods instead of that nice homey piece of paper. Guess we're just a little too old school.
