Many of us go letterboxing in remote areas. Today I read this. A California family of three that had been reported missing by a friend Monday night was found dead Tuesday along with their dog in a remote area of the Sierra National Forest after their vehicle was located near a gate leading to Hites Cove in California. Kristie Mitchell, a spokeswoman with the sheriff’s office said there were mines in the area and no clear cause of death. It could be a carbon monoxide situation.

That is definitely a little scary

My niece's mother, my sister, passed away yesterday morning. If you can send her a card to let her know that AQ friends are praying for her in this sad moment I will be grateful.

For those who knew Rydeswitheagles, she passed yesterday and is finally free from her long battle with cancer. She was a longtime boxer and one of my favorite boxing companions and sisters. She will be missed.

I'm sorry it took me so long to post this. I had to wait and go back through events I had attended to confirm something I was thinking about. Back in 2014 you hosted a hunger games themed event that I was lucky enough to attend in Idaho. I met Rydeswitheagles there and truly enjoyed meeting both of you as well as everybody else at the event. I agree with team awesome pants. This must have been a beyond-difficult post for you to have to put together, please accept our families condolences and love

I am writing this morning with sad news that a dear friend has passed away.
“Lighting the Way” (Roz) passed away last Friday. She went home to be with the Lord after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She hadn’t letterboxed in a while, but was once a part of this community.
She created beautiful stamps, made clever letterboxes, enjoyed postals, and attended events. She once even made a series of stamps for our NH school group, at the time, to find and learn about Letterboxing.

Roz was a kind, caring, beautiful soul, and she will be greatly missed.

Prayers and condolences to all those who knew and are missing this wonderful lady.

My apologies to all my letterboxing friends for being silent for a while. My dear noxer boxing buddy, my husband of many years, became suddenly ill in July and , sadly, passed away on July 31st. We did most everything together, especially our adventures in nature, and I haven’t had the heart to be able to do any of it at all. But I miss hiking and letterboxing , and am trying to get back into it. I’m sorry that I have not gotten back to anyone for a while, but I do love hearing all of your updates on the boxes I have out there. Thank you. Looking forward to some fall hikes, and some blue skies. And boxing.
