My daughter goes to a school in NY state and she has found boxes hidden on campus and 3 in the library so far all hidden by different boxers.
Good luck with your search:)

college with boxes hidden all around/inside it's campus

There were/are a couple of great series of boxes on campus at University of Southern Maine. If there aren't any planted where you plan to attend you could always start a new college tradition and plant some!

We have been to a few collage towns, with plants, but with the way things are, now-a-days, it seems that you would need to take extra care in planting and hunting on a collage campus. They don't like strangers (who may look a little suspicious) poking around the campus to much.

The one collage in our area that has over twenty boxes around it is in Sewanee TN, the University Of The South, and so far we have had no issues hunting there.

I have been stopped or talked to by so many Collage Cops and police officers in so many other locations that I think twice about hunting near any schools. I guess I just look the part and they want to make sure I know they are watching me.

I also know of a college in NY with boxes. They have an area of trails where boxes have been planted.
There also at least 2 different sections of trails in SC (associated with 2 different colleges) that have a bunch of boxes available to find.

Having said this, I have to say that I am on your parent's "side". :) Letterboxing should probably not be one of the top reasons why you decide to go to any college. :)

No you can't. I've been looking, and watching the gardeners. I think there's only a couple of places where a box could be placed that they wouldn't remove it, and even then, it would have to be very carefully disguised...

Hey guys,
One of my good friends recently confessed to me that she is on the way to getting anorexia. Her parents know, and she is going to counselors and stuff, but I don't think she has told any other friends. I don't have lunch with her, but still want to help her out however I can. I don't want to be insensitive or make her uncomfortable though. What should I do?
Thanks,
KM&CC

Sometimes, one of the very best things you can do is be there to listen. If your friend confided in you that she is struggling, it means she wants you to know and feels you are trustworthy to have that information. If she is in fact meeting with counselors and her parents are aware, then she is hopefully in good hands in that regard and there should be fewer reasons (such as an immediate risk of her health, etc.) for you to have to share the information with others. Let her share it with those she wishes to know, while being a good listener for her as a friend. Often, those struggling with pre-eating disorders or eating disorders need to know they are not alone with their difficulties and feel they have a sense of belonging and connection with others. As for awkwardness in being around her regarding eating times, let her lead the discussions and try not to put an emphasis on her food intake or issues with food, eating disorders tend to stem from feelings of being out of control emotionally, having unresolved emotional pain, or insecurities about one's self - the focus on food is an area of control, but often is not the main area of need for support.

Hope this helps some. FORAYCH - Jeff

It is always a good idea to find a local boxer who has been at it for a while and pick their brain or maybe box together for a day.

Is this ok to do? I just hosted a papmpered chef party for kids(like myself) going off to college. I invited a bunch of people fom my senior class. A lot of them signed up to come and then most dropped last minute or just didn't show up. :( my show consisted of my mom, my boyfriend's mother and sister, and my best friend. That's all. I'm really bum bed at the turn out of my show.
So I wanted to post here and see if anyone was interested. You can order online and there's a bunch if things that you can make with their micro wave safe products. We cooked chicken breast, noodles, and a veggie in the microwave and made a pasta dish. We also made microwave chips and cake. it was all so delicious and you could hardly believe it was all made in the micro wave. It's def going to make college eating a lot better.

I'm closing my show this Friday so if people are interested I'll post a link and list all the stuff we used in the show. All orders in by the time my show closes will be in for Christmas!

Having survived nearly a decade of "college" (undergrad and grad school), I highly recommend the purplish colored microwaveable pot with strainer lid for people looking for gift ideas for that age bracket. My roommates and I over the years made everything from mac & cheese, instant potatoes, soup, & ramen to frozen veggies & pudding in that. It took over 8 years of constant use for the first one to meet it's demise (a roommate tried to melt caramels in it -- d'oh).

I would be interested in the link also...I could use some help with my microwave cooking :-) Plus I LOVE the pampered chef soap dispenser (I think it is the Suds Pump one). It is one of my favorites of their products and makes a great christmas gift.

Go to http://new.pamperedchef.com/pws/cindypenry and create an account(you can opt out of getting newsletters) and then search my name (Morgan Niles)in the upper left corner to find my show.
Here is the recommended starter kit for college kids:
Micro cookers
Cutting board
Knife
Small batter bowl
Prep bowls
Measuring spoons
Small stones-baker or bar pan
Measure-all cup
Scraper
And mini serving spatula
Orders in by this Friday will be here for Christmas!
Pampered Chef has a lot of stuff for under $25 that are great for gifts.

Thanks guys :) this really means a lot to me.

They even have blue(or almost TARDIS blue as I call them) micro cookers!

The micro cookers can cook just about anything.(we made pasta and veggies)
We used the stonewear small ridged baker to cook chicken breast in the microwave(took about 8 mins).
The small batter bowls are great to use to cook and to use as bowls to eat out of. We made little delicious microwave cakes in them.

I, too, recommend the pruplish/brown steamer bowls. We use them ALL the time, and we're just a regular family not in college. Perfect for veggies. The smaller one with the handle is perfect for soup/chili. And they have lasted so long, at least 10 years so far. I'm at the point where I want to replace them due to the slight damage to the plastic you get from the top of the bubbling food, but they still work perfectly fine. And the mini-spatula is perfect for lifting brownies out of the pan.

The roommate didn't realize that melted sugar can actually melt plastic because it gets so hot. Same is true of trying to melt chocolate -- don't use a plastic bowl in the microwave for that.
