it seems they have a monolopy on the letterboxing patch business!

Their patches are high quality and they have great prices. They made the Texas letterboxing patch (not sure if you have seen that). They will also be making the patch for the Live and Breathe event.

Does anyone know if Lock Wench is still selling patches? I sent her a message a month or more ago and she never responded. I had ordered a 5,000 finds patch a few years ago and the check was never cashed. Last year she said she would send me a free one, just for being patient. It never came. Then I told her I want to pay for one instead. I re-sent that message to her today, but then saw she has not logged in for over 2 months. Does anyone know anything about her situation? Or the patches?

I too a ent her a message over a month ago looking to buy some patches. I read on the boards a while back that she was back in the game but it seems she’s disappeared again.

I will have plenty of TX patches with me at Live & Breathe. They are $3 each or 2 for $5. I hope I am easy to find. I will be wearing a white long sleeved blouse.

I just noticed a thread about New Jersey patches. A few questions (as I am relatively new)...
1. Are patches earned? If so, what are requirements?
2. Is there a patch person per area or do random people take it upon themselves to create the patches?
3. Is there a list of people that provide patches?
Just some thoughts that I has no clue about.

There are patches that you can buy from people who make them for their area. If you watch on here and take note of the trail names you can AQ them to buy one. Sometimes there will be one for big events that you can buy. I have one for falling down and spraining my ankle--a number of people have gotten that injured while letterboxing patch, but most of them you just buy when one comes up that you're interested in getting. Someone else might respond with names you can write to--I don't know any personally.

There has been talk of making a LTC patch. Would you be interested in designing it?

There are about 30 L&B XX patches left over from the event! Do you think that she will be at an event? I don't go to those as a rule, but if she will be at one that is not too far away, I might go just to buy the 5,000 Finds patch. I don't do Facebook, but thanks anyway for that suggestion.

I’m back... and with all my patches! After some health issues (i had a kidney transplant) i am feeling amazing. My transplant was 3m to the day sho, so I am still recuperating at home and have lots of time to get all those stocking stuffer patches into the mail. I am not raising any prices. Based on the slim response I will not be reordering. A minimum order is 50 patches at a manufacturing cots of 3.38 per patch plus additional for shipping and handling.

Good afternoon everyone! I've been working with Lock Wench on getting more patches ordered hopefully in time for L&B. I took over Lock Wench's patch business a couple of years ago.

Question is: did anyone take over purchasing/selling of Der Mad Stamper's patches (I love Cooties, No Cooties, WWIN, Letterboxing Southwest are the only ones I've found at the embroidery place LW sent me to) and if not, is there interest in these patches?

I've gone through the boards, and it doesn't seem like there are any in circulation, but I didn't think it would hurt to ask-- Are there any SC patches out there? I am in SC this weekend and am planning on doing some boxing this weekend. I'd love a patch to add to my bag. :)

I was asked this week on whether there was an Injury in the Line of Letterboxing patch. I think I bought one sometime over the years, but can't locate my banners with my patches at this time, since my command strips fell off the wall, and I put them away somewhere. (First world problems).

Anyway, does anyone sell that patch? Also, if not, I can remake the patch and sell it. (Once I find my banners, etc...... sigh.)

That sounds about like how I got my patch! I have reached out and been in contact with Turtlegirl13. She's had a difficult year to put it mildly and also had to move and relocate due to a new job. But she is looking for the patches and I will update this board once I hear

I suspect every boxer would deserve one of these patches!!!

I know 100 years ago, Grrly Girl made a which way is north patch. Don't know if she has any left, but you could check. Also, I think SherlockMiles may have some patches.

Are there Tennessee patches anymore? I know that there used to be one. I am starting to gather items for games and prizes at The Letterboxing Games event, which will be in TN, and thought that someone might like a patch.

If anybody has letterboxing related suggestions for games and prizes that are outside of the norm (rubber, ink, etc.), please do tell!

I have a nice TN patch that I got years ago, but unfortunately, I can’t remember who was selling them. ☹️

Mstrwndl used to have the one in ten patch, which I think was white background with an orange silhouette of the state of TN. He has been out of letterboxing for years. I got a small stack when he left the hobby. I gave what I had out to everyone at an event many years ago.

The patch I have says “LBTN” in orange above a green map of TN, and “LETTERBOXING TENNESSEE” in orange below the outline. There are 3 stars in a circle in the middle.

Well... I've finally done it (I think.)

This evening, I was grilling kebabs and while they rested on the grill, I was carving a stamp on the side. My goofy self accidentally picked up one of the grill tools on the wrong/hot end rather than the carving gouge I thought I was reaching for. After a quick visit to urgent care, my bandaged hand looks like an aliens, and I have three second-degree burns.

Turns out stamp carving and grilling don't go together.

Though I was not on a trail, I think this qualifies as being injured in the line of letterboxing. Does anyone have an extra of these patches lying around that I could buy off of them?
