I always forget about LbNA...oops! I'll check it out tonite...I keep saying "3 hours isn't really too far off our path is it??". I got a few in Vancouver last September, although it would be nice to keep our vacation streak going. We were going for 1 or 2 of yours Water Lily, due to floods that doesn't look possible right now.

Hi, I am hoping there is a patch for boxing British Columbia! If so, please direct me as to where I could find the info.

Also, Gecko Girl, I just sent you an email. We found one of your boxes that needs some TLC.

I don't think so. I think there are so few boxers in this part of the country that no-one has put up the cash to get any such thing made. I did find a patch that was a "blank" of the country that you could colour in as you boxed in each place. (Well, they're actually for motorcycling..... but they can be used for LBing too). They also have the states. Here's the link http://www.gmanindustries.com/shop/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=49
Need somebody near Whistler to rescue my box

I've had a box near Whistler for several years; it's a great box in a nice location. Many people have found it. But somebody just looked for it and sounds like some geocachers maybe have gotten hold it. Bunch of junk in it, stamp gone.

I'm azure; in the Seattle area. The box is called 'Whistler'. Is anybody close by who could rescue it? My email is sandy@dsbarnes.com

Thanks!

aaah Marilyn, Just seeing this one now. Sorry. Been doing well. Yup, think its time for another event or something. Oh wait, let's wait for Spring.
I miss boxing...we have been so lazy. Kids are just not into it these days, nor is hubby.

Water Lily it's pretty quiet here too, but, something VERY
Funny happened about a year ago. We were hiking with a group
Of homeschoolers (about 30 in the group) and somehow the topic
Of letter boxing came up. I was sooooo excited. ( now these were people
That we had been somewhat regularly involved in activities and emailing
Very frequently. I said something to the effect of, "cool! YOU
Letterbox too?"
She looked at me then said realized who I was. My email is
Pilgrimsinthisland too. So even though we'd been visiting and
Emailing as homeschoolers, and they'd found some of our boxes
The context never clicked. That was sweet. So there is a number
Of homeschoolers that letterbox but don't use AQ or LBNA to record
Finds.
Patience
And we just may hold another event to spurn interest.

Sorry not any more responses. I haven't been
up to Whistler in a couple of years. Hopefully this Springs.
It's awful when cachers morph a box and take the stamp. Had you
written directly on the stamp
Do Not Remove Stamp
That's what I try to do.
Hugs.

Hi, Deb,
I have not been on this site for some time. My husband ( don't know if I had mentioned on here about remarrying 3 years ago this month) and I are in Arizona at the moment and was just checking emails when it just popped into my head: Wonder what boxes are in the area?
Funny how our lives change over the years.
I still go out in the summer with a few of my kids and grandkids and try to keep up on my own boxes so they are in top form. I must remember to do that once we get home again. We know what it is like to not find boxes because no one is keeping them up.
Anyway, nice to see some boxers in our area, right? Marilyn

Hi there! We're visiting from New Mexico and Arizona and brought two boxes to plant in places we've enjoyed on Vancouver Island. Sure hope they get some action, as the pickings are slim mid-island, eh?

well, hope to get to Port Alberni...might not be until next year. So glad you planted. There had been a couple planted on the east side mid-island, but muggled.
Thank you. Hope you enjoyed the island :)
Did you get to camp? Take care.
Thank you for planting more boxes in BC>

Just wondering if any active boxers in the Lower Mainland as of late.
Seems most of those visiting boxes are travellers, so hope to see
ourselves get out and box...
and others.
Have a great summer!

Just starting to get back into in after a long-time hiatus... it'll be a slow return as life is much busier now, but I am recruiting a new boxer in the process. Should be more logs and new boxes in the coming months! :)

Yay! You're in the Great White North now?
I am presuming the west? BC?
If so, we've gained a great Letterboxer. We've been pretty quiet for quite some time. Did
get out today with friends. Introduced LB to some fairly newbies...
AND found an HH (sort of). Now comtemplating if to move it to a different box in BC...(where it may sit for another 5 years due to lack of active boxing...or move it to a California box.
Opinions?
Awesome carve and book YumGirl!

I've been boxing in AB and BC for several years but the flood washed away many boxes in Calgary. I've replaced some of mine but it is discouraging

Just a note to let you know gecko girl is still here. Got a couple of finds so was sending a reply and thought I would check in here. Living in Mission now but have not been LBing for a few years.
Will be getting out to service my boxes this week. Several have had stamps taken when found by geocachers (left trinkets for me). My fave is still there though. :) I'm doing the happy dance.
Nice to see you are still around too. Marilyn

Spirit Bear, so sorry you lost yours to flooding. We too had planted in Lethbridge years ago and it went missing, after a flood. Guess Alberta ones can only be in high ground. (which of course narrows down hiding spots anywhere on the prairies. ;)

Getting out to maintain ours and other boxes this Spring in 'HOPES' that more people will get to boxing here.
We still haven't tried the series of boxes at Stanley Park, or others. So that is a goal this year.

Have fun boxing out there y'all.
If you're coming to BC try the Ioco/Belcarra boxes and give us a holler. Would love to connect. It's beautiful here.

There are two boxes in the Ross Bay Cemetery, one I planted. There was one near Fisherman's Wharf but I'm not sure of its status. My daughter-in-law planted one in the garden at Government House but again I'm not sure of its status. Hope this helps. Spirit Bear

Okay, I just checked my box and it was last found in 2016. It's called Dragon Tattoos-green dragon and my daughter-in-law's was found this past summer and is called Craigdarroch Castle. Both are about a 45 minute walk from the port.
