I see you have no logbook with this box. I love looking through logbooks full of stamps and comments of all those who have visited my boxes. I would ask for assistance, and ask finders to please leave a logbook in the box.

Congrats on your first plant! Your clue ( and yes, it IS a “real” clue! :-) reads easily and appears quite clear. I liked that you stated “near the main trunk.” It’s also helpful to know how high up to look and on which side, to facilitate stealth and increase the likelihood of finders returning it to the same spot.

Congratulations on planting. It is a hard thing to do.

I live in the Raleigh NC area but have family in the Goose Creek area of Charleston. I plan to stop by on my way to visit them in May.

Your clues look good.

As we are creeping up on summer, and then it will be September, I decided to remind you about this event at Edisto Beach State Park. People have contributed so many incredible stamps from around the USA and even from as far as France, and I look forward to sharing the fun with those of you who join us!

I planted 7 new boxes yesterday in the Greenwood/Abbeville area .. where several BBB13 boxes are located. They can all be drive-bys if gates are open. Have fun.

Hello All,

While looking at the new changes to the logbooks/my profile , I noticed that I now have an Unpublished, adoption. On top of that, it’s a HH.What???!!

Apparently, a newbie found one of my HHs, but instead of putting it into another box, decided to give it a new name, AQ #, and planted it!

I will message the newbie, but they haven’t logged in recently, and has only one find shown.

The clue they wrote is as follows:
On the purple trail at edisto state park at site 28 you will see a big tree look behind it. THIS IS A HH.

Anyone out there close enough to retrieve my HH and put it in a traditional box? I’d appreciate it. I’ll wait a few months, and if it’s still out there/no response from newbie, I just might publish the location so someone finds it.

Thanks,
J in Calif

Update: someone reached out to me, and told me that the newbie had planted it, but retrieved it (this was at an event) after people explained to her about HHs.

Thanks all for the hugs :)

We have boxed here the last couple of springs. "Charlie's Place" has some great history. Of course, we have planted a couple of boxes ourselves in that area!

I planted a State Quilt box in March. Not “special”, but I like it.
Charlie’s Place is interesting too

Hi! I looked in your logbook and do not see a South Carolina plant from March. Would you be willing to help me with a box number? 🙂

Sorry. I re-planted it in March. So it was listed earlier. Anyway the number is 291268 and it has been found recently.

Oh and if you're anywhere near Little River, go to Vereen Gardens and look up Sudoku Crazy's Wildflower series (great stamps!) and my Bambi! That should keep you busy!😊

The Box King Museum box (222476) desperately needs some TLC. Is there anyone close that could do it? It needs a new box w/ magnet and we didn't have any of those on our drive through. Message me if you can help for more details. Cross-posting to NC board.

I found the camo tape covered canister but it was shredded. They came through with machinery and cleared all the brush and bramble from the disc golf course. I found it near the basket of hole 16, only the small composition notebook of stamps and trail names were within the destroyed canister. I had no clue what it was so i took it home to read through it but it was soaked and dirty. It’s now dry and I’ve read all the trail names and dates. Last entry was 2015! I don’t know what to do now lol. I would like to communicate with 5 is alive if possible. If not someone let me know what to do with the book of stamps? Thanks

i found “swinging at the park” at Jb red owens complex on the disc golf course, nothing but a shredded camo taped canister and a composition notebook from 4-17-08. I hope you are all doing well. I was born and raised here in easley, on the Anderson county line, went to wren high school. I’m now 35, was class of 06. I own a small plumbing company my father started 25+ years ago. I would love to get this notebook back to you all. :)

I'm in Union County, we had a lot of rain and there was a "weak" tornado touch down in Carlisle on Tuesday.
I was concerned about the weather but also preoccupied with my new grandson (ironicallynamed Storm), who was released from NICU that day!

If you go to the People tab, then you can drop down to Find Letterboxer. You can search for 5 is Alive's profile page. Then you can look for the icon of an open envelope. That will open a page where you can send 5 is Alive a message directly. Thank you for reaching out to make the effort to salvage the letterboxx. 🙂

Appreciate your taking the time re-home the letterbox!

Also, nice to see that you spend your days frisbee golfing and letterboxing when you are not shoot wrestling!
