I'll be camping in Paine's prairie soon. I was wondering what cool places we could visit while there? Right now I'm thinking micanopy, and the natural history museum. I have a 4 yr old.

Any suggestions?

Here, go here. It is such a lovely tour, great interpretation, two letterboxes on the back trail, and just overall really a great little historical house. Plus, there's a passport stamp! :)

How fun, and a great time of year, not too hot.

The Santa Fe zoo is great for that age. It's small and run by the college students.

Nearby is Depot Park, has a great playground and eats.

My husband and I plan on going to the event in Spring Hill.

This park is near nothing. Your best choice might be something near I75 or a bit more west of the park in Springhill. There are several nice hotels off I75 in the Brooksville/Ridge Manor area. Exit 301, I believe. Probably 30-45 minutes to park from there.

So my husband and I are staying in Clearwater. We plan on going to “Are We There Yet?” on Saturday.
It started to rain when we left on Thursday. And it was pouring by the time we reached Lakeland.
I’ve been wanting to stop at Polk Museum of Art for some time now.
And my husband agreed to the break.
I wanted to go to this particular museum for the Art O Mat that they have there. (Google it, it’s cool.)
And when we got there, I was thrilled to find out that there was an exhibit of works by N.C. Wyeth and Norman Rockwell!
Admission is free. And the exhibit runs until May 26th.

Yep, we are going to do it again. Different park this time. Don't know which just yet. Might even be a 2 day event so we can get in some night boxing.
