Congratulations to I dig toasters on her purple diamond BOTW! All of her boxes are outstanding in every detail, and this series is especially awesome, location and all. I'm are so glad she plants for our region and to see her creativity recognized in this way.

Thanks for the Kudos. It was great seeing that oldie but goodie letterbox get the purple sparkle. I had not intended to plant on the actual Grant historic site, but a nearby geocache caused me to figure out a different spot. Letterboxing had recently been permitted at National Parks, with approval from each site. When I met with the park’s director she took over a month to decide to go with it. Guys -I am so glad I chose to get their permission. That one box opened up so many windows for me. Her letters of introduction gave me a MAJOR foot in the door when I started to do the STL Historic site series. Even though all the historical sites in the area are separate entities they all know each other, go figure! The next year my NPS friends approached me to see about getting boxes hidden for Missouri’s Sesquicentennial. My contact has since moved to Colorado, but we touch base every now and then. I just sent her a congratulatory email thanking her for permitting ‘Dear Julia’ to be placed on the site and helping to promote Letterboxing.
