Hi friends,
I'll be in Santa fe for a day or so next week, and would love suggestions on a fun lunch place.

I'm not quite sure what all I'll be doing yet, but am hoping to buy a piece of turquoise if I can. And maybe get a box or two. I'll be camping out in Carson NF unless they close that one too.

Any other insider tips to make the most of my visit?

Thanks!

Thanks!

Reach out to Lionsmane.

He lives in Santa Fe and has come to multiple Texas events. He's really nice and probably could provide a great recommendation.

The best place to buy turquoise jewelry. in my opinion, is on the plaza at the Palace of the Governors. Native American vendors have their wares spread out under the portal of the Palace.

There are a few boxes downtown within walking distance from the Plaza: A Pressing Matter (pink diamond) by Astro D, Santa Fe Pastiche by Wronghat, Is She Mary? by rubberpeace, and my My Favorite Swine: Hamm. Not too far out, there are a number of boxes on Museum Hill/ Camino Lejo area. All of the boxes along Hyde Park Road are unavailable due to the forest closure.

There are lots of fun places to eat in Santa Fe. Too many to mention. If you know in what part of town you want to eat, I could make some suggestions. Come to think of it, I would enjoy meeting you for lunch and doing an exchange, if you would like. I could see if other local boxers might be available, too.

Here is a link to some maps that might help you decided on boxes. Like ArnoldZiffel said the ones along Hyde Park Road are unavailable due to forest closure.
Santa Fe Area Maps and Lists
As for lunch spots, these are some of my favorite places in Santa Fe - Joe's Diner, The Ranch House, Tia Sophia's, La Choza.
And I agree with ArnoldZiffel about getting together if you have time. Just let one of us know. And if you have any other questions, please ask.

Okay, that sounds great! Thursday will be the best time to meet for lunch. I'll be coming from Carson NF, so let me know when and where to meet you. That would be easiest.

Thanks for all the suggestions. :)
