Thanks. I have clue tracker, I just like box finder better.

When I try to use it, a box pops up and says "Box finder needs to be updated. The developer of the app needs to update it to work with iOS 11."
Anyone have a clue as to when this will be done?

It won't. It was announced in 2016 that the app would be discontinued.

I am not familiar with Box Finder, but am a fan of Clue Tracker. If there are specific things you liked about Box Finder that are not available in Clue Tracker, you could make a suggestion to the developers. I know they are very receptive to ideas and feedback and always looking for ways to improve the app.
