Many of you are familiar with my mother who just turned 100. I got a call this morning that she is fading. She is in sleep mode and looks peaceful. It sounds awful, but please pray for an easy and speedy death if this is her time. She has been so miserable for such a long time and it's been really hard on the whole family. She's almost back home with the love of her life.

It isn't "awful" to pray for an easy and speedy death. It would be a blessing after her long and eventful life and many sufferings. Joining you in prayer. -Rose

I'm blown away by all the hugs. Thank you so much. They gave her a dose of morphine several hours ago to ease her breathing. She's still hanging on. Slept all day.

Thank you. She has been sleeping and hasn't eaten for about 4-5 days. The doctor says it shouldn't be long. We've all been taking turns staying with her around the clock. My wishes to you all for a blessed Christmas Season.

Crosscrescent, I've rediscovered a book on my Nook by Fr. Groeschel called Praying with Our Lord Jesus Christ. I loved listening to him on EWTN until he recently died. He was a priest and psychologist who worked in the very poorest section of New York, I believe. A very faith- filled man.
