I still haven't watched it yet, but after reading the original posts I saw pictures of the cast. Marilla does look rather young. I am not familiar with the actress. Colleen Dewhurst was amazing as Marilla. As for the original Diana, I really liked her. How was the new Gilbert Blythe?

After posting this, Tom and I watched the remake. Everyone, even Marilla, was fine. The only exception is Gilbert Blythe. He might be okay, I guess. The young man playing him was just a bit of a shock. Jonathan Crombie seemed a little more charismatic as Gilbert Blythe in the 80s version.
