Visiting New Jersey

Hello out there!

I'm visiting New Jersey for about ten days. I'd like to hop on the AT for a little bit, just to say I did. Can anyone recommend an easy hike that includes a bit of the Appalachian Trail? I'm staying in Princeton, so I realize I'll have a bit of a drive to make, but that's ok. Maybe a meet and greet would be fun too!

The Dunnfield Creek area of the Delaware Water Gap is probably one of the easier sections but can be very crowded on the weekends. If you’re up to it I would recommend the 3.75 mile hike up to Sunfish pond.
A little farther north near Millbrook Village are some easy access points. The AT crosses Route 602 at the top of the ridge. From there it is a 1.25 mile hike to the Catfish Fire tower.
Also at the end of Blue Mountain Lakes Road near Skyline Drive the AT is easy walking and has some nice views to the east.

Have fun!- The Cross-Tie Walker
