Well, I hope to find at least one box today. Not sure if I'll plant one, though.

I get to find a new box today that was just planted this week. It's rare that we get any new ones here in Central IL that are within an easy driving time.

I planted two boxes late last night and posted the clues, but it was before midnight. Guess those don't count as 2016 plants, but it was a good start to the New Year weekend.

I found a box and a HH this morning!

After being thwarted by several inches of ice, we finally found a box! Woohoo! Let the year begin!

Southpaw and I hiked in a beautiful area today. Found one box and planted one box, plus saw and heard loons. Managed to avoid getting attacked by bears. Great way to start 2016!

Found a wonderful old box today and took a little hike to see a waterfall. Just noticed I had a cake by my name today too!

I went out to find my first box of the year this morning, but sadly, it was missing. I hope that isn't a harbringer of things to come!

We headed out for our first box this afternoon, but one of our labs ran onto the ice and jumped into the river. So I used some basic rescue techniques that we recently learned. Crawled out on the ice with a huge branch and pulled her out. So much for boxing today.

OMG.....you made the right choice....so glad EVERYONE survived!!
