Hmm, not a bad idea. If he wears his "special" jacket, any moose within eyeshot would be stunned by it long enough for me to take a picture!

Mine is to empty my box of stamps by planting or rehoming them. Why should they sit around in a box?

1. I want to find a box close to a waterfall and have a long relaxing lunch next to the fall.

I'd love this. I tried to get to a waterfall last year, but all our parks flooded and were closed for the whole season. Not looking promising right now, either. It's either dry & no water falling, or flooded & closed. We don't have a lot where I live.

My letterboxing resolution is to get to all my local boxes and verify they are still there, rehab them, update the clues if necessary for changes in the environment. I actually already started doing this. I found that a 12 foot stump in my clues is now a pile of rotted wood.

To plant 20+ boxes and find our 1000th box ! Lofty goals for sure which should take us to more wonderful scenic areas, which we never knew was a benefit of this new hobby.

My wonderful secrete Santa gave me a stamp , log book, AND a lock n lock. I have set March as my deadline as to coming up with a name and a place to hide. This may come easy for some but may be a little hard for me. I have had it a week now and still no name. Ugh.

Maybe include 'Secret Santa' in the name. Something like "Shh...It's a Secret...From Santa".

Best of Luck with your plant

That's a great resolution! :^) Maybe I'll set a goal to check on more of mine, too.

My goal would be to find more boxes in 2016 than I did in 2015. Since I only found one in 2015, that shouldn't be a difficult goal to reach!!

Boxing: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the letterboxer Trekkie Gal. Her mission this year: to explore strange new locations, to seek out new boxes and new stamps, to boldly go where no Trekkie Gal has gone before. ;-)

Ithaca is gorges is a popular touristy bumper sticker.

Check out Google images for treman state park or taughannock falls.

Oh so many goals...

1) Hike a 5 mile series
2) Plant a 2-3 mile series
3) Find at least 2 boxes a month
4) Find at least 15 Massachusetts Mystery boxes
5) Build a monster binder of solved clues

I was in New Orleans in November, and I saw you got the Mardi box that I was unable to get. Glad you commented on it, so if I ever go back, I will have a better chance of getting it!

Wow, Happy New Years everyone! I love everybody's ideas with planting more boxes, doing maintenance and enjoying more fun with the SOE boxes too. One of my goals would be to hike Mt LeConte in the GSMSP next year and find figure8's letterbox. It's been a long time since I've hiked it and with a box there, that would surely give me some incentive.

To plant 8 more boxes to get to our 100 mark!

To get to 400 found boxes. This may require some major travel... of which we have no money or time off... hmmmm...

To carve more. I've been slacking.

To meet at least one new letterboxer. Who is coming to Alaska this summer? I know no one is coming winter. :)

If the goal is just one a month that's 12 boxes. Even with some cold weather that should be doable. Tons of boxes in upstate New York. If snow makes it impossible, which so far ain't happenin'......find some drive-bys, indoor boxes.

I also hope to find an out-of-country box.

My resolution is the same as last year. To get a box in every town/city in Massachusetts and to add new states.
I added six new states in 2015, it would have been seven but the one box I had time to look for in Oaklahoma was missing. Arizona is on my list this year.
Rocklin if you want to see moose, go to Denali. I saw a moose within 30 minutes of arriving. He was just walking down the side of the road.

My resolution the past 2 years was to find at least 365 boxes per year, and I succeeded. I aim for the same in 2016. (It helps the count to attend events.) With the input of better brains, I would still like to break the clue for the Pam Dora box in Sunset Hills, MO.
