To get the PT, you have to tell me a limerick, so I thought it would be fun to have people write down their limerick in the logbook when they stamp it.

What a fun idea! I love limericks and usually have one in my head. I think having to write them down would sure be a fun way to collect several!

So I would say it's a good idea to bring a special logbook just for the event, because you're likely to run out of room in a partially-used logbook.

You either have large events or small logbooks.

It will entirely depend on how many people and stamps are at the event. We don't have particularly large events around here, except a few summers ago. (Boxer Lover 47 could tell you how many letterboxers were there.) So scale your logbook to the size of events that you go to. You could always bring an extra log book, just in case, and leave it in the car.

Thank you for your advice. Good idea to see how many people are coming to the event.

I'm a one and done sort of logbook person, I only want one to keep track of! Though my first BIG event is next weekend, so I'm taking my new one with me, as I figure I'll fill up my current one. So, you have options when it comes to logbooks. Whatever works best for you. :)
