Yep. I am really this new. My first letterbox was a mystery box, and after I found it I used the Box Radar ap to find a couple more that were on my way home and didn't seem like they'd take too long. Yesterday I went out and managed to only find 3 of 7 I was looking for.

Letterboxing is basically perfect for me. I wanted to make exercise more fun. I LOVE puzzles. I am an art collector whose budget is very small. So I get to solve puzzles and suss out clues, get off my couch, and then fill a book with tiny pieces of art. :-)

I use my hand stiched backpack i got in Iraq, with all my patches from campaigns and boxing on it. As for an Extreme box. I located one in Everett,Wa. It requires bog hopping over some old paletes, and broad jumping a creek. The box is under a concrete barrier near the water front BNSF RR lines.

Along with everything else, I carry a whistle (for signaling) and a small can of mace, for coyotes, dogs..the 4 and 2 legged kind.

I'm obsessed with mystery boxes. I started a little book with the clues about various Mystery boxes, and what I've figured out. I actually have 6 figured out. It's just a matter of getting to them. You could try looking for clues for mystery boxes on LbNA. Some mystery boxes are organized on there so that you at least know what county to focus on.

Some mystery boxes on Atlas Quest are like that too. County-wide mysteries, state-wide mysteries, country-wide mysteries and world-wide mysteries. We've got it all! =)

Here on AQ, if you go to the Letterboxes tab at the top, you can click on the first one - City Directory. Then you you can click on a state. Once you click on a state, you can click on that lovely question mark, floating on the map, which will bring you to all the mysteries listed in that state.

Some of us just spend our free time solving all the mysteries for a state.

Then, of course, there's Eevil. And Inspector Francis Bacon. And Lemony Snickett (how do you spell that??). And dingus dufus. Try searching those planters' logbooks for things to solve.

Oh - and Lightning Bug and Magical Music Man if you want to go crazy.

WOO HOO... I have sussed out the clues for an Investigator FrancisBacon box!!!! I'm a bit worried because it was planted in 2009 and according to AQ it has never been found. This box alone would take me an entire day to drive there, find the location, and drive home. What's the chance it is still there?
