Any chance there can be an auto-generated notification when a found box changes type?

Here's why I ask:

It may be anal of me but I like my online record of traditional finds to match my actual logbook as closely as possible. I keep a running count and use discrepancies as a way to let me know that I may have missed logging a find - it's happened on occasion either after a heavy letterboxing weekend or if I go a while without logging finds. When the numbers don't match I search back in my logbook, comparing my finds to my online logbook until I find the one I missed.

Fairly recently after not having done this reconciliation for a year or more I found a discrepancy and unsuccessfully went back through a couple of years worth of finds trying to find the problem. I since discovered that a couple of boxes that had been listed as traditionals when I found them were changed to travelers. These boxes were finds from 2009 and 2010 so clearly the changes were made long after they were originally listed. If I had received a notification that the boxes had changed type I could have made an adjustment to the find count in my actual logbook and saved myself a fair old bit of time.

Thanks for considering my suggestion.

I thought it wasn't possible to change a box from Traditional to Traveler or from one type to another. Is it now possible or was it done by an admin, perhaps? I know some folks have discovered their F-counts change when a series is reclassified as a single but I wasn't aware of changes to the type of box having happened in the past.

Only admins can change them. And yes, it happens when a box was misclassified in the first place. The most common ones that get the type changed that I am aware of are multiple stamps in a single box (one "traditional", the rest are "other"), boxes where the clues say something like "find me at an event" (it is a "traveler" if you must be present in order for someone to find it), or bonus boxes on postals, event boxes, travelers, etc (the bonus box attribute applies to traditional boxes and therefore counts as a find even if the original box does not).

I actually have a column on my personal spreadsheet that accounts for what sort of "find" it really was, not what it is listed as on AQ. So since I don't count the ones that should not have been counted in the first place, it means I don't worry if they get changed either. In fact I look at it from the opposite point of view; if I know it isn't a "real find" I just assume it is a matter of time before it gets "corrected".

Ah. I have a box with a hand full of my first plants. Retired boxes. All erasers. One finder was telling me they should all be listed, not just one box. Made no sense to me. It's one box. Maybe she meant as "others".
But I have some "others" that I wish could be moved. I had problems listing when I was new :/
