I like wix.com I haven't done a lot with it, but it's easy to use. You don't need html for it either. It has tons of templates and goodies and ways to add on extras without it.

do you know if you CAN use html, if (let's pretend) you saw something on another page and wanted to steal it... uh, I mean borrow... and so you already had the original html to work from....

Thanks for the info!!!!

It says you can use your own code. I haven't tried it because I cannot remember any of the html I learned back during my own defunct webpage. :) Here is a link to what they say they can do:

Helpful tutorials for HTML and more: http://www.w3schools.com/html/

Look to HTML5 if you're digging in now for the long haul.

Free blog sites (e.g., Blogger) let you publish posts (chronological entries) and pages (fixed entries). Usually, they provide simple customization tools and include HTML views so you can see the code for posts and pages you're working on.

As an alternative, a text editor and a kind friend with a hosting plan could be all you need to launch a basic site. Good luck.

I started setting up my Wix site last night. Haven't got things ironed out yet... I probably just have to be patient and maybe watch some of the how-to videos that go with....
