Hmm.... I'll have to see what I can do so it shows the stats of the displayed date rather than today's date. Probably not today, though.... I've got some other stuff I need to do today. But maybe next week I'll have a chance to look into it and see what I can do. =)

I normally log my miles the morning after.

There is that small window that you can log your miles after midnight for a couple of hours and still see all of the stats. I'm thinking it's because Ryan is on the West coast and we are on the East. I doubt that you stay up as late as I do to catch this time frame. I have a fitbit so my miles are auto, but I have used this window to change my trail.
Looks like our walk could be a bit interesting today with buckets of rain falling.

Oh! I try and fail 99.9% of the time.

Yup! And I'll be travelling in a few days so I cannot afford to catch a summer cold - I have to be careful. It's good I've already gotten seven miles in before the rain gets too bad.

I might invest in a fitbit if my pedometer ever craps out. But right now it is working fine. I like logging my own miles too. Must be the old-fashioned part of me.

I just have the same old pedometer too. But it's the CHEAP part of me. I just can justify the expense of an upgrade. Probably by the time I am able to, they will come out with something new and better anyway!

And I like to save my money for other things -- like traveling. Limited funds force me to prioritize. And if I have a cheap way of getting the same job done, I'll likely take it so I can use the money on something else I can't do otherwise.

No disrespect to the people out there with Fitbits! It seems like they get a lot of enjoyment out of them, and that has value. :)

Yes the older I get the more money I wish that I had just for this reason. We are looking at every way to cut bills right now. I do really like my fitbit and it has got me moving everyday so I think it's worth it to me. This is my 2nd one, the first one broke around the year mark. I sent pictures of it to Fitbit and they offered me 50% off my 2nd one, because they said that should not have happen. They pulled up my account and said in an email "Wow you have only missed using your Fitbit 4 times in one year. Since you are a good customer and your warranty is out. We are going to offer you 50% off."
I missed 4 times because it was on the charger and I forgot to pick it up that morning on the way out the door.

I do still have my old pedometer, just in case this one breaks. ;-)

yeah - i'm with you. my pedometer cost $29 and works just fine. i don't really need to know how many stairs i've climbed, or calories burned, or get into yet another competition i'm not going to win. i really don't need to feed my sense of inferiority or my perfectionistic streak. i can see where people are having fun with it and i'm glad - i'd rather travel, too.

Just wondering if I can play with the site a bit to show me those stats just one more day.

Okay, I've now updated the website to display the stats for the day that you're viewing. So if you go back and select July 31st, it'll display the stats as of that date.

Which, keep in mind, means a number like "year to date" means from the beginning of the year to July 31st and not from the beginning of the year to today. And if you view July 30th, the month-to-date stats won't include July 31st in your numbers.

But now you can see Saturday's numbers on Sunday morning. =)
