I am cross-posting this from the "Singles Anonymous" board....do any of you NC ladies know anyone single??? This is a great guy who used to work for USAirways in CLT

My friend Laura Medlin posted this to a flight attendant chat list and I am sharing it with you guys. He is a great guy!!!

I have a friend who is an awesome person. He worked on the ramp for us for years but had to go out on disability because he has macular degeneration and is legally blind. He is 10000% self sufficient but doesn't drive because he is considered legally blind. (He can see he just uses an eye piece thing for reading so it's not like he's walking around with a walking stick or anything).

I'm posting this here because he lives in Charlotte, is single, and has asked me if I know any one who is single. I know this isn't a match making site but I also know he is an amazing person who loves travel, is kind, and understands our lifestyle. When Nick and I went on our cruise last month we ran into him on the ship not having any idea he was on the same sailing.

Just putting it out there. I think good people deserve good things and companionship that's mutually respectful and fun is good for everyone who is looking for it.

Asked him what he was looking for and this was his reply:

I would like someone that is thoughtful, caring and understanding about my situation of being legally blind and not being able to drive. But as you saw I am self sufficient / not totally dependent on anyone. Going places they would sadly have to do all the driving.

My self I love to travel…my friends call me the Pun master…. I like travel and Landscape Photography .I like doing active things.. I would like to do more hiking and Kayaking but I cannot get to the parks to do so. I do own a Kayak but I cannot get it to water.. ( family got for me for xmas a few years back )
Being on disability i have a lifetime free entrance pass to all the National Parks and I would like to visit several I have not been able to see yet.

I will post photos too, this guy is really nice and deserves to have someone to have fun with!! I totally think we need to introduce him to letterboxing!! But he would need someone to drive him to parks :-)

Amanda,
I wish we lived closer. Although, I looked it up...222 miles...that's not too bad. 3.5 hours....really not so bad. I'm in Georgia, northeast of Atlanta. Bed Red sent me your post....she always looks out for me. I think she's tired of hearing me say....I want a man who's going to hike with me!

Hey I'm married to a traveling man and have to drive that far to see my husband of 32 years a few times a week. It could work... just think about it or maybe a hike or two and see where it goes. You never know!
