Oh sure ~ lunch with someone else! But you can't even make time for me living, just half an hour from What Cheer!

If we had gone letterboxing as you suggested, I'm sure we wouldn't have found the box, anyway. They seem to burrow deep into the ground when I approach. If you look at my F-count, you'll see what I mean.

That Life Is Good franchise obviously hasn't met me.

Time to make the gruel...

So what is "Wot Cheer" like? Sounds like a real vibrant town, all 600+!

What Cheer is full of happy, optimistic folks. I need to move.

Functioning opera house, defunct clay tile factory, rather hilly, in the midst of the cornfields, settled by Welsh coal miners, though the mines in Iowa were mostly small and are now mostly closed. It's not on the main highway so I haven't driven through in years. There is probably a bar where you can get a meal, and a gas station, some 100+ year old small houses and a couple of blocks of brick commercial buildings! also old. If you're a native, it is probably vibrant.

Maude, you must have missed that there is a chicken de-beaking factory there. And a large gruel store. Cool hobbies Buzzkill has!

I think the chicken debeaking thing is an embellishment to illustrate the character of the trail name in question, and I understood that it is Buzzkill's employment. Also, everyone makes their own gruel around here, often using old family recipes and cast iron pots, crick water, and hand ground grains. It's a cultural thing.
