Speedsquare-

I am from Ohio and every year that I visit, I make a trip to Greenlawn Cemetery. It is easy to get to and once inside, there is some driving from box to box, but it is so nice and peaceful to be away from all of the heavy traffic and road construction.

The only thing I ran into while there a couple weeks ago was tree clean-up from the storm that took out many of the big, old and beautiful trees in the cemetery. The limb shredder trucks were in the cemetery but I zigged while they zagged and it all worked out.

I added all of the boxes missing from my collection to my logbook. There are so many to choose from but a real fun series was the "Angry Bird" series and some really great carves that I enjoyed were the "Do You Wanna...?" series. Hope you add Greenlawn to your list of places to visit :o)

Thanks for that advice! I'm headed through there in October and was sort of overwhelmed by that huge pocket of boxes in there, as I know I can't stop for long on my way through to Cleveland.

Greenlawn is a fantastic cemetery to visit and to box. I strongly suggest taking the time to map out a route before hand if you want to maximize your boxing time. In the past, I have printed out a section map (think I even splurged and had it enlarged at the copy shop--it was a major boxing day for us) and plotted the boxes in advance, then penciled in our driving route. If I Recall correctly, we boxed from open to close and did manage to clean out the cemetery, BUT this was a couple of years ago and we had visited at least twice before!!

Sounds like it is time for another trip to our Capitol city--now that I think about it, there is one box that has eluded me three times.....
