Bad Oozo experience. No more black licorice here.

Oh Emm Gee...., I have eaten sooo much of it all my life! It is like an addiction to me and somedays just crave the stuff. (sigh... ) good ole USDA strikes another of my loves!

It really makes me wonder the timing of this imformation. I mean a day before Halloween? Luckily I don't think anyone gives that stuff out anymore on Halloween. Another thing, the FDA just found about about this now? This candy has been around for decades upon decades. Too bad for licorice lovers :-( Let's get some Twizzlers instead!

Me too, Wendy! And I just recently discovered black licorice ice cream! I would try to explain the pure heaven contained within but it would never come close to how unbelievably euphoric it is!

I don't think licorice root is used in most black licorice candy in the US...check the label, it might be made from anise (tastes like licorice).
However, I REALLY enjoy licorice tea, which does have the licorice root in it. I think the box of tea has a warning level on it.

Where can you get black licorice ice cream? I have been wanting some forever. I even suggested it to Ben& Jerry's hoping they might decide to make it.
