Well, when I saw this thread I was hoping to discover some good suggestions. Looks like nobody responded. Chill E, did you find some good boxes while you were in PDX?

I just went on my first ever letterboxing adventure today, and I'm hooked. I'm in Portland for a couple more weeks, so I'm hoping I can add some cool stamps to my book. From what I can tell, there are a bunch of Simpsons characters around Portland, but there are so many to choose from I don't know where to start. What would you recommend?

If its Portland, Simpsons, and stamp quality you are after, start with anything by Hodgindaz. From what I have seen and heard of her work you will be pleased. Happily Shadow

If you'd like to spend a nice afternoon looking for some super high quality boxes... I'd recommend the Burial Customs Boxes.

What part of Portland are you closest to? There are so many good places to find boxes. I'd be happy to meet up and box with you if you have time.

Midnight Flamingo

P.S. The Burial Customs boxes are AWESOME. The location is very historical and full of good information as well.

Loved my GA to Portland, OR adventure in June of 2010! Yummiest box was at VooDoo Doughnuts, but we really enjoyed exploring the beautiful rose gardens at the Japanese Gardens. We drove over to Newport and found the Tide Pool Letterbox. (Wish we'd had more time in Newport. It was gorgeous and unlike anything I'd ever seen!) Our best and most fun boxing day was spent w/ local boxers at Multnomah Falls and later that night at a fantastic 4th of July party. It's hard to impress my two teenage boys, but they had a blast meeting new boxing friends and exploring the area. Hope I get to visit Portland area again one day!
